News Disney offering its Walt Disney World Cast Members a complimentary one-night resort stay ahead of the 50th celebrations

They are both salaried entry level, not leaders. Their silver passes started on day one BECAUSE WE UISED THEM WHEN I MOVED HER IN! Before this became an argument my point was in her offer letter these are the benefits as part of the offer . If you can’t use the benefits For an extended timeyou...

News Disney offering its Walt Disney World Cast Members a complimentary one-night resort stay ahead of the 50th celebrations

Incorrect . Both my daughters received 3silver passes on day one. You are correct on the comp tickets but they have gotten extra prior to COVID. Entry level park positions get silver with time Not true with “higher “ level positions. One park may be blocked at high times but not all of them...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Most hospitals require the FLu vac. If you can't get it, ie your allergic, you are required to wear mask the entire flu season. If I were king this would be my requirement. FYI: My co-worlers and I have been fully Vacs since Early March. Two who are young, healthy and skinny, got COVID and...

News Disney offering its Walt Disney World Cast Members a complimentary one-night resort stay ahead of the 50th celebrations

I know the fine print. I also know it is part of the benefit package they offer. Free admission for your self and 3 guests(silver passes), 12 comp tickets/year. It's a consideration when you are deciding on excepting their job offer and if its a benefit you can't use, you may go elsewhere...

News Disney offering its Walt Disney World Cast Members a complimentary one-night resort stay ahead of the 50th celebrations

Actually Disney does owe them something. If you work M_F "regular" hours it has been near impossible to get into the parks, which is advertised as a "huge" HR benefit.

Lack of comorbidities. Lack of comorbidities was partially protective against COVID-19 mortality, but not completely. Of COVID-19 patients who died, 83.29% had a preexisting comorbidity, while 16.71% did not, per the medical claims data (Exhibit 1).

It not just fat shaming its showing your privilege. When people are working 2 fast food jobs to make ends meet, where do you think they are going to eat? When you live in the innner city where there are no grocery stores and you have no transportation, where are you going to eat? When you...

Disney to Sell Vista Way Apartments

Disney is offering their Flamingo Crossings now to cast but its not that much cheaper then a regular apartment. You save on utilities basically. Rent is based on a dollar amount/sq ft and the prices wether Orlando or Milwaukee, WI are just nuts. My Daughters lived at Citra in Windermere and...

Are the rumors surrounding the Star Wars Sequels being decanonized true? (An in-depth look)

If I am being honest really all the SW movies, besides the OGs and Rogue 1, have different levels of sucking, but they all suck. They lost me pretty much forever with the line a 3rd grader would write "Somehow Paladin is back". Although my guilty pleasure was the Rey/Klyo storyline but the...

Understanding Why Disney's Magical Express Is Ending

It seems counterintuitive to add another push to off site. The parking fees, the crazy hotel rates and remember they had EMH at many of the offsite resorts. I think the individual revenue management teams run their algorithms to meet their internal controls (Chapeks 10% growth) for revenue...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

My point is if the "future" of WDW is to operate with decrease capacity, limited entry and reservations being needed, they will have a tough time maintaining a work force and not just at the hourly level.

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread but has there been any consideration for Cast? My DD works for Corporate so M-F and there has been really no weekend availability. She has just moved areas but sincne working virtual, not having the benefit of going to the parks, she did consider leaving...

Surprise! Red Tier Now Begins Sunday; Downtown Disney Restaurants???

At this point it does matter if you add ICU beds, there is NO one left to staff them. ICU bed capacity has been short prior to covid due to cost of open beds. It is what happens when healthcare is for-profit and managed according to the bottom line. Germany was able to open sooner and quicker...

Disneyland and Disney World lay off 28,000 employees amid pandemic struggles - OCR/SCNG

Six months is wishful thinking. Our state heath said it will be fall 2021 before the vaccines are available to everyone. What are the economic ramifications for the next 3 months with evictions and foreclosures and a government that could give a dam?
