Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

October 31, 2022 Day 7: Epcot *Lots of text ahead again, sorry!* After the better part of an afternoon and an evening of rest, Jenny decided to get up and come with me to Epcot this morning. Only the world had different plans. As we were going down to the Skyliner, we pushed the elevator...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

I'm sure you're probably right. The way Jenny described him smirking at her before spitting definitely seems vengeful and not just a whim😢 Kids can be cruel. He definitely thought he would get away with it and looked terrified when he realized I was going to say something. Hopefully he thinks...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 6 continued We grabbed a coffee nearby and sat for a while before heading over to Slinky Dog Dash (side of vehicle opens and folds down for easier transfer). As I’m sure you can guess by now, Jenny was VERY nervous. We had a DAS for this ride so I told her if she didn’t go I couldn’t ride...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

October 30, 2022 Day 6: Hollywood Studios We arrived to a foggy Hollywood Studios this morning at 7:30am. Our goal was to do Mickey & Minnie’s right away but unfortunately it was down. They hoped it would be open when the park opened to all guests at 8. We decided to redirect to ToT (notice...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Thank you all for your kind words 🥰 Perhaps naively, my hope is that the kid just had an intrusive thought that he decided to act upon and that it wasn't bigotry at such a young age, but that's obviously what comes to mind first. I do hope that the father did do something about it and that the...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 5 continued *Warning: Lots of text ahead* After the Laugh Floor we did Buzz (accessible drive-on vehicle) - twice. I smoked Jenny both times 😀 We stopped by Joffrey’s for a coffee and then had a DAS for Haunted Mansion before getting in line for the fireworks accessible area. The Park...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 5 continued Jenny and I were headed back to MK for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Jenny felt refreshed after her morning in the room and was ready to go! We had accomplished the majority of the rides on Day 1 and decided to try to get some meet and greets done. When we got into the...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Well I hope you're wrong but you're probably right and I should prepare for some level of disappointment :hilarious: Tbh, projected faces would still be better than Journey Under the Sea style animatronics (Ariel's not looking great). Also, I should say I am looking forward to the retheme, I...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 5 continued Splash was still not open and I was in need of coffee, so I mobile ordered from Sleepy Hollow. I sat for 5 minutes on the rocking chairs in Liberty Square and sipped my coffee. As I sat, I noticed that Splash had reopened and the wait was already 20 minutes! That was my cue...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

October 29, 2022 Day 5: Magic Kingdom The evening earlier Jenny let me know that she felt she needed time in the morning to reset and continue resting. We had a Sanaa reservation scheduled with @KMD and company at 1:10 so Jenny and I decided I would hit MK alone in the morning and she would...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

😆 Yes, I thought so too! You can go back and have it fixed for free the same day as well. Jenny accidentally rubbed it a few times but it still looked great so that wasn't necessary! She did have sparkles in her hair for a few days though despite showering 😄 Thank you! 🥰 We really did have an...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 4 continued After FoTLK, we had a mobile order at Satu'li for lunch so we headed there next. Jenny had the hash with chicken I think and I had the noodles with the shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic but I did not love the vinaigrette on the noodles. As a cilantro-hater, I feel like it needs...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 4 continued I realized I missed that between ITTBAB and FoP we stopped by the otters to see if we could spot any. We’d been there a short while when I saw movement. Can you spot him? I tried for the next 5 minutes to explain to Jenny where he was. “Do you see the tree?” “Yes.” “Do you see...

Trip Report Sixth Sense - " I see a LOT of people" - a Max Trip Report - COMPLETED

The pink has grown on me but I totally agree - I would be quite happy if they painted it back after the 50th. This is a tragedy. The #1 problem with Pop Century was that there was no hot tub. We Canadians need our hot tubs even if it is 30 degrees out 😂 Not to mention the warm bath with strangers.

October 28, 2022 Day 4: Animal Kingdom It was an early day this morning. We got up at 5:30 for a 7:30 opening! I have to say, both Jenny and I like to sleep in at home and are notoriously late for everything so the fact that we kept pulling this off was truly a miracle.😂 Only for Disney! The...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 3 continued After Test Track, it was time for lunch. We had packed a lunch that day but we still found a spot in Connections Eatery to sit down. As we sat there I noticed Club Cool across the way. When we finished eating, I led Jenny there. We tried all the different types, and of course...

Trip Report Broken lifts, EMTs, and spitters (oh my!): WDW with a wheelchair and DAS

Day 3 continued After our Frozen adventure, we had a Soarin' Advance DAS Reservation coming up but decided to stop by Figment (drive-on accessible vehicle) first. We had a Pooh sighting on the way there! Driving on! (You kind of drive on to a turntable which they turn towards the front of...
