MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

They aren't "promoting" it? This detail about the offices comes from an article in which a reporter is literally just explaining what he saw while touring the queue / part of the ride. We've known for months that this is a food production facility housed in an abandoned salt mine. I agree, the...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

These have been some of my fears as well, and although we haven't seen much, what we have seen has helped to alleviate some of them. I realize that not everybody is fond of the work they're doing to the exterior, but I think it's fair to say that whether you like it or not, they don't seem to be...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Completely agree with this. It's hard to argue one is better than the other, just because they all offer vastly different experiences, but all high quality nonetheless. WDW Splash is probably one of my favorite rides of all time, but if you asked me which ride I'd consider the "best" I'd...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Is a VQ even practical for a ride like this? I understand that demand will undoubtedly be high when it reopens, but we already know the queue has a pretty decent capacity for multi-hour long waits, provided there aren't extensive changes to the layout. Splash Mountain was always one of those...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Do we have any "before" pictures or was this all originally grass? I can't recall what this area used to look like but I think the work that's being done looks quite nice so far. Really like those light fixtures.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Really loving how they balanced out the trees here to maintain the original composition. It's subtle, but it goes to show that symmetry in a design like this can be maintained while also having more nuance than just two buildings directly mirroring eachother.

Any word on a new music loop yet?

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

As it should be. There is definitely room for criticism here. The problem is that it's delegitimized by people making the same jokes every time the words "salt mine" or "co-op" are mentioned. Not that things cant' be lighthearted, but it does take away from thoughtful discussion when the same...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

This is extremely insulting to people who work in this industry. I'm sure there are a few exceptions whom this statement would actually apply to, but I doubt many of the people pursuing a job at WDI are doing it just "for the paycheck." Many of these folks are truly passionate about the work...

EPCOT Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

Finally had a chance to experience this in person and I loved it. You can argue about its placement all you want, but there was something really beautiful about seeing how they blended the "natural" elements amongst the classic architecture of the park. Sightlines were definitely a priority when...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I think some kind of nighttime projection could be nice here, so long as it's done tastefully and plays upon the design of the actual mural instead of just random nemo animations

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Looks like this area was being painted as far back as Sept 2nd: My initial thought was primer too but I don't see why they would just leave it sitting for over 2 weeks if they didn't intend to keep it. Props to whoever has been overseeing the Seas during this "overhaul." Lots of subtle changes...

EPCOT Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

From a story/placemaking standpoint, I don't think Moana is necessarily trying to take you out of EPCOT. I choose to see it as an oasis that just.. exists in the park, almost as if the rest of EPCOT was built around it.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I'm actually digging this new silhouette for the mountain. It doesn't look anywhere near as flat as what was originally featured in the renders they released a couple months ago, which is great.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Legitimately curious as to what people want instead of the Tiara. If it wasn't there, we already know people would be complaining about the "generic water tower." That said, I DO wish we got the design from the original rendering, logo and all. Maybe they decided this version of the tiara was...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I like the Tiara more than I thought I would. Initially I was disappointed that we didn't get the one depicted in the WDW render, as I think it would've added some distinction between this one + the Disneyland one, but ultimately, I think the simplicity of this design works. Forgetting it's a...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It shouldn't have taken as long as it did, but I still see this new spine as a MASSIVE improvement over what was there before. The biggest travesty, I will admit, is the loss of the Fountain of Nations. Especially with all these planters that are being built, I really don't see why one of them...

EPCOT Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

Exactly this. The placement is really not an issue, at least not in the context of new EPCOT. The attraction will be obscured by trees from World Celebration and the entrance will blend in with the foliage of the seas quite nicely. If anything, I'm just glad they're adding SOME distinction to...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Genuinely do not understand why people are still having the "Tiana shouldn't be a thrill ride!" discussion. Song of the South was a movie of very low stakes. What about that film lends itself to being a thrill ride anymore than Princess and the Frog would? They're both children's films, I'd...
