According to an Imagineer friend of mine, the night time is when all the maintenance is done, and not just ride maintenance. Landscaping, mowing grass, powerwashing walkways, etc. is all done after the parks close. He told me that most of the work is done by crews wearing headlamps to see.

I chatted with a CM on their website and she confirmed to me that they're having issues with the website and none of the resorts are showing availability. I was trying to see if there was anything and not even the values showed open rooms, so I figured it had to be a website/backend issue.

From the article: "There is no consensus among Americans travelers about which, if any, hotel staffer should get a tip, according to a survey commissioned by the travel company Expedia." That seems pretty definitive to me that it isn't a common practice. If there's no consensus, it isn't the norm.

Yeah, I'd turn over 25 rooms per shift for months on end and only 10-15% left a tip. What are the odds that so many people wouldn't have heard that tipping housekeeping is common practice?! It's almost like it's not common practice at all...

I cleaned rooms for several summers and that was the experience that all of the housekeepers had. It's not unusual, you're just uninformed.
