Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Yup. I am not a morning person, but I wake up at 6:30 every day at home and at Disney I'm actually excited to get up. It's dragging the others out of bed on East Coast time that is difficult. I will miss evening magic hours.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Quite the hyperbolic language. "Bridging the past, present and future of EPCOT is a new fountain at the base of Spaceship Earth with three majestic pylons." (i.e., plastic crystal-looking things for a nice but fairly unimpressive fountain) "Spaceship Earth transforms at night into a Beacon of...

How fascinating and beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is done, won't reopen with the parks.

I would welcome a Moana show in DHS or elsewhere. Such great music in that one.

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

It sucks that it could limit capacity for people who actually want to stay at the campsites, but from a company perspective they're still paying. Honestly if I'm gonna stay offsite and pay for a campsite, I might as well just stay onsite. Maybe the loophole would be more used by locals though?

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

I agree with you that TSL could use a nice play area - ideally shaded, maybe with a water feature - where parents can rest and let the littles play. DHS lacks that anyway. However, I don't think calling TSL a "kiddie" land means that it needs to be highly accessible to and entertaining for the...

Does Raya and the Last Dragon have a future in the Disney Parks?

One princess is sufficient to represent an entire continent of people? OK. Also, not all kids want a handsome prince - do we really need to sexualize young kids? And not all kids want a stunning dress. My kid desperately wanted Raya's sword on a recent Target trip. As for the squishable...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

A.S.S. has a requirement of 32 inches - that's basically a 2 year old. It really just limits dumb parents who want to hold their babies on the ride. Slinky is 38 inches - that's most 3-4 year olds. There are very few height restrictions at Disney that exclude children who are older than a...

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is done, won't reopen with the parks.

I think animation courtyard is my least favorite area of any U.S. Disney park.

Question regarding points rental and magic bands

This. We've had no problems using a magic band to pay for things. The DVC owner makes the reservation and must make any changes, but the reservation is still in your name. The DVC owner doesn't get billed for things you charge to the room.

"Mystic Manor" destined for Animal Kingdom?

Oh duh. I kinda forgot it existed.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Yeah. I know enough essential military contractors to feel it will be just fine.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

All large government contractors are going that route. The military and government has gone that route. There are still testing options at some DC agencies, but they're fewer and fewer. Both are valid, but there are reasons to show the data differently. Showing just adults or just eligible...

    San Angel vs La Hacienda

I prefer the ambiance of San Angel. La Hacienda is lovely, but eating near the ruins is a very Disney experience. Menus: La Hacienda: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/hacienda-de-san-angel/menus/ San Angel...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

Personally I'd like to see one E-ticket and one or two small rides. I guess to Disney, that's a whole land, though.

    Who's collecting Happy Meal toys?

Awww. Bruni is the one my kid really wants. She got Frozone on Tuesday. I would like to have Jaq but I do have him as a Tsum Tsum. I don't have any old Mickey toys, but I do have a complete set of Star Wars toys from Taco Bell when it was re-released in the late 90s. I may have worked there...

"Mystic Manor" destined for Animal Kingdom?

The screens on the brand new Spiderman ride that opened in DCA this summer? Or just screens in general? I know people are disappointed that TSM has aged and Buzz is poorly maintained, but they're both fun rides and interactive.
