Two year old's first time/tips and tricks

Our daughters first trip was when she was 18months old, it was a fab time to take her. Thankfully she always slept in her pushchair, but we took a full sun cover that did close up at the front - when she was tired but too distracted, pulling this down worked wonders and she fell asleep almost...

    Memory Maker Questions

I have purchased the MM for our upcoming trip, but as our bands would be 2 years old I was concerned the long-range RFID wouldn't pick up the in-ride photos. I emailed Disney, and they said no problems as can just touch them on the monitor at the end if they aren't detected, so it would be the...

    Your WDW Wish List

Free parking! We pay enough in our park tickets, the additional cost for the parking is a bit of a pain - especially as during a 14 day trip we spend at least 10 of those at the parks!

    Why don't they sell that?

I think I may need to be doing a bit of shopping!

    Why don't they sell that?

ooooh, just imagining a Soarin' scented house here. I think I would be over my baggage allowance on the flight home if I could get those candles!!!!!

The Brazilian tour groups: is Disney taking action?

As long as you don't talk whilst your mouth is full - we may be a friendly bunch, but have our limits ;):p

    Magic Band Battery Life

Thank you for that. I did email Disney after reading this post (and before there were any replies) and yes, I will have to purchase a band for my MIL which is totally fine. But he said to take our bands to Guest Services if they aren't working and they may be able to replace them. I guess to me...

Cards no longer being sent for MM?

We've purchased MM for our trip. I am a bit concerned about the use of the bands only in that 1 member of our party does not have a band, and ours will be 2 years old when we come and there is the issue with the "battery life" and the bands not registering when we are on the rides. Can anyone...

    Magic Band Battery Life

When we go in October, our bands will be 2 years old. We are not staying on-site, and I see no mention of getting new bands although our tickets are linked to the bands. Is there a way to get them replaced? Worrying now that we won't get ride photos etc if they don't pick up our bands

Advice on ringing Disney from the UK please

Know you are all sorted this time but previously I have emailed when I have had a problem/query. Each time, they have asked me for a phone number so they can call and help me, and every time they have been in the US, rather than UK based - saves what could be a large phone bill for us!

Getting the most out of character interactions

If you are wanting the characters to keep the pictures that have been coloured in, thats not a problem. My daughter has done the same, and the Princesses handed them to their attending CM for safekeeping! And as for adult only photos, its a must for this household. As others have said, let the...

The Brazilian tour groups: is Disney taking action?

I have found this thread really interesting to read. We usually visit in October, and yes these large groups are still around - they don't vanish by the end of August! In my opinion, Disney is supposed to be a place of fun and happiness. It is horrible to have that spoilt for you by large groups...

    Discovery Cove in October

Hahahaha, I did even wonder if she would like to give the day a miss, and have a nice rest day. Worth a try! Not wanting to sound cheap here (does sound horrible when I read my first post), but with all the extras we are having to pay for - flight from UK, park ticket, larger car, mobility...

    Discovery Cove in October

Hey guys During our October holiday, we are finally planning a trip to Discovery Cove as our daughter is now old enough for the dolphin swim - yay! We are also bringing the MIL on holiday with us, so as a result the costs are mounting up (we are paying for everything for her!). So I wondered...

    Maybe it's just my kids...

We haven't particularly stopped for a nap, but we stay offsite so is more of a hassle to do so. When our daughter was little, she would sleep in the buggy and we would take that time to do rides my husband wanted to and I didn't, or have a sit down and a drink etc. If we've come back for a late...

What Ride/Event/Show do you wish you SKIPPED with your children?

We love Fantasmic, but up to the age of about 5 we sat towards the back of the arena so we could take her out if she got a bit frightened - thankfully only had to happen when she was 2 but after then we were cautious. The dinosaur jumping out at the end of Dinosaur did scare her, but the rest of...

18 months or 2 yr old?? Wait or not to wait.....

We first took my daughter when she was 18 months old, and has been every year (apart from last year) since - she is now 7. She can't remember the first couple of holidays, but you don't expect them to at that age. We had a fantastic time on her first holiday, her expression and delight every...

    FIRST TIMER

Another UK visitor here, and we love coming in October. The weather is usually wonderful, the parks aren't too busy either. And MNSSHP is just amazing, I am about to start making my costume for this years party. We are bringing my mother-in-law for her first visit at 70, she will have a badge as...
