Pay more, get less. When does it end?

Seems about right, depending on how long you stay of course. We are taking my brother’s-in-law family of 4 early next summer so we have been doing a lot of pricing for 2 adults and 2 kids. For that family of 4, 8 days/7nights, Park hoppers, AND dining plan, it was less than $5000 when splitting...

Pay more, get less. When does it end?

I’ve definitely been there with Splash Mountain and other big rides closed before. I also seem to recall that, before there was EMH, there was “e-ride” night, which was an extra cost with even less rides open (way less busy though since they maxed out the number of tickets sold). I’m only saying...

Pay more, get less. When does it end?

I agree with some things you are saying, and the ridiculous price increases. Some things do seem like they are getting a little out of hand. But, the parks seem to be getting busier and busier anyway, so apparently they haven’t priced themselves out yet. If it was cheaper, they would probably be...

Why the hate for Little Mermaid ride?

I think it’s fine. It could be a little more immersive. It did help a little, last time I went, with having the lights turned off in the under the sea section. My biggest problem with it, as people have mentioned, is that it skips a whole section of the story and ends abruptly. She became human...

Dumbest Thing You've Heard a Guest Say: Florida Edition

*a lady walking into Casey’s Corner* “Do you know where the castle is? Then after being told to look behind her “oh that’s it? I thought it was bigger” :banghead:

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

You can actually get digital copies on iTunes and Amazon. I just looked at the cds on Amazon and eBay, and people are trying to sell them for like $40, but the digital versions are still normal price.

Changes to the Dining Plan for 2017

I definitely like this change for the regular plan. The quick service plan is a downgrade since they didn't replace the 2nd dessert with anything. For the regular plan, though, if you don't want to snack all day, you can make a pretty good breakfast or lunch using 2 snack credits, especially...

Changes to the Dining Plan for 2017

I think this is a good change, especially for the regular dining plan. The quick service plan, however, I guess you are losing 2 desserts (since both meals are quick service), and gaining only one snack. We don't usually do the quick service plan, so that doesn't effect us, but I could see why...

Extra Magic Hours and Dining Reservations

Yes, you'll be able to stay and enjoy the atmosphere/eat/shop (they won't kick you out), but they do scan magic bands at rides so you would be denied entrance to rides. You also wouldn't be able to get back in should you leave the park.

This is why we go to Disney...

Nice story! I got one from my last trip that happened to my mother-in-law. She spent the entire trip looking for the perfect zip up hoodie. She wanted a Tigger one, but ended up finding a Mickey one at our Port Orleans gift shop towards the end of the trip. They did not have one in her size...

    Memory Maker worth it?

I've done it a couple times. Most recently, we did it when we took my mother-in-law and father-in-law for the first time on a 7 day trip. I feel like this past trip had a lot more photographers out in different areas than times before. I wonder if it is becoming more popular or just being...

    Is online check-in worth it?

I think it's definitely worth it. We didn't do it for our first stay at AOA and our room wasn't ready yet when we got there (even though it was after 3). I did online check in when we switched over to Port Orleans and the room was ready early that morning. I'm not sure if that was just a...

    Post Disney Blues

I was just going to post a topic about this. We got back last weekend, and I have been so depressed ever since. I've been looking at pictures from the trip, especially photo pass pictures. I've posted pictures on Facebook to see people's reactions to them lol. Listening to park music helps, but...

Just booked my first DW vacation and I can't stand how excited I am!!

Yay that's so exciting! We took my mother-in-law and father-in-law on their first trip last week. They had only been to Disneyland and not since the late 80's. Now they are talking about tagging along when my half of the family goes to Disney Workd next! Haha.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I hope they announce the new hours and times for the night time show soon! We are also going the end of April. I heard they might be offering the dinner show package, like they do at Fantasmic! so I've been keeping my eyes open!

    Linking Magic Bands Question

Sounds greats! Thanks! Sounds like it will be an easy process then. I just don't want to waste a lot of time figuring things out when we are in the middle of the trip so I just wanted to ask what other people's experiences were like.

    Linking Magic Bands Question

Hi! We are going to Disney World in the first week of May. I have been multiple times, but this will be my first time going since the magic bands were implemented. I made my resort reservations, and we are doing the dining plan. The tickets, though, I am getting through my work because I can get...
