If You Go Down To The Parks Today..Your In For A Big Surprise...

I don't particularly think anyone was trying to pop your Disney bubble or make you feel that you're wrong for wanting to just focus on the positive. Rather, people are just expressing their honest and valid disappointments or opinions with what's happening in the parks. It's like, recently, I...

If You Go Down To The Parks Today..Your In For A Big Surprise...

That's exactly it. To me, it's not about taking the magic away from any one here, it's just about wanting a better experience and expressing that wish. From what I've read about him, Walt was quite the hard and was dedicated to constant improvement and innovation (and of course, to making...

    Your Resort Foodie Must Have..

Sometimes I dream about the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli from California Grill. But I'm assured that's normal.

If You Go Down To The Parks Today..Your In For A Big Surprise...

Thank you! And wait a second... doesn't everyone meet their significant other on the Epcot promenade? :p

Have you ever been evacuated off of a Disney ride?

Yes sirree. Toy Story Mania, after waiting in line for seventy minutes. SEVENTY MINUTES. We played "Animal, Vegetable, Mineral" for forty of them, and when the ride broke down, I thought maybe I was hallucinating. I've also been stuck on Pirates, Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion (during the...

If You Go Down To The Parks Today..Your In For A Big Surprise...

I adore Disney. It's where I met my husband and I'll always, always hold a special place for it in my little, magic-loving heart. ;) But ... and there's always a 'but'... it's so ridiculously expensive. It keeps getting more and more expensive. That would be fine with me if they were putting in...

    Epcot's Continued Sad Condition

I'm somewhere in between. My husband and I adore Epcot and always spend a full day there, but mainly just to wander, enjoy, shop and explore. We consider FW to be a sad waste of time -- we love SE (before the script rewrite, though), Soarin' and TT, but World Showcase is the place we gravitate...

    your favorite snacks

Alcohol is a snack, right? :p The Grey Goose Orange Slushie from France is my fave snack of all time - I could live off them at Disney and probably have in the past. Also love the chips n' queso at La Cava, onion rings at Beaches n' Cream, any kind of peanut butter cupcake, any margarita from...

Trying to get my priorities straight

I know what you mean. It is my favourite ride because my husband and I went on it on our first date. When we returned for our honeymoon, I was ridiculously excited to go on Splash again. We only got to ride it once and the rest of the time, it was down. When we did ride it, nothing worked and...

    Which moderate?

Yes - almost every time there was a bus, it was shared. And a few times, it was only Riverside, and a POFQ bus would fail to appear. We heard tons of complaints about it at the park bus stops, so we know it wasn't just us. We even shared a few cabs with other disgruntled couples ;-)

The Age Debate (will they remember it?)!

Hmmm. If you're bringing kids so that they'll have a good time and remember it, I recommend (from my own personal experience and my year as a cast member) waiting until your children are at least five or six. But that's just my preference - and also, since Disney is super expensive, I think a...

Could This Be The Ultimate Burger At WDW.?

One thing I miss the most about not being a vegetarian is a good burger. I wish Disney restaurants would offer the choice to sub out with a veggie patty. It wouldn't be such a complicated thing for them to do, and a nice perk for people who don't eat meat for whatever reason. There's nothing...

    Which moderate?

We stayed at POFQ during our honeymoon and loved everything about it -- it was small, we could walk to our room easily and the room was comfortable. EXCEPT, we hated the transportation. We felt like the evil stepsister next to Riverside's Cinderella. All the busses went to POR too and often, bus...

New dining location - 'The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge' opens next week at the Studios

For some reason, money ceases to mean anything to me the second I step into the 'world.

Either Suites or using one of the DVC point thingys to stay at WDW?

We are using DVC Rental Store for our trip in December, and they have been fantastic so far. Not to mention, we saved A LOT. Depending on how this trip goes, I doubt I'll go any other way in the future.

    Favorite QS Lunch/Dinners

MK - either Tortuga Tavern (I love the veggie burritos + the toppings bar) or Columbia Harbour House. CHH has the best hummus sandwich and it's so fresh and delicious. Epcot - the vegetarian sampler plate from Tangierine Cafe. Ridiculously good hummus, tangy lentil salad, yummy couscous. And...

The Early Bird Versus The Night Owl...

Both! I love getting to the parks early because they're so quiet, but I also love the nights when all the action is happening! Plus the parks just look so beautiful in the evenings. On this trip in Dec, we plan to be in HS by 8:30am (leaving our rental home in FL at 6am) and finish off the...
