Onsite guests with Genie+ could get 3 Tier 1 rides...onsite guests that dont rope drop can now only get 1, likely not their first choice and prob not get their top choice in Tier 2............MAJOR DOWNGRADE

Anyone who DOESNT rope drop is penalized vs Genie+....Thats the vast majority of guests

Thank you for making my point........Exactly my point.....this new system penalizes probably 75%+ of guests vs. Genie+, including resort guests..........It ONLY helps rope droppers (which is prob less than 15% of daily park goers and most likely 10%)

Problem is, this penalizes onsite guests more than it helps them

Genie+ didnt start until late 2021/early 2022, not 2016....FP+ was in place until the pandemic Genie+ was a far superior product to this, in my opinion Genie+ could have been tweaked to allow resort guests to book 7 days out and eliminate the 7am wake up, giving resort guests their on site...

Agree we need to see how it settles.......I think it gets worse, not better........just my opinion but this is based on my experiences over 50+ years

What I meant is, it did not penalize hotel guests, day guests, rope droppers, mid day guests or late arrival guests.......... It could have been tweaked to add a benefit for hotel guests and eliminate the 7am thing and it would have appealed to the masses vs this system

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Agree....But Genie+ at least leveled the playing field and had availability all day
  9. J

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Im not sure about that......the popular Tier 2 selections are more apt to sell out (or have too late of a return time) than some Tier 1 selections....So now you cant get your first choice for Tier 1 OR Tier 2 This system severely penalizes any touring plan other than rope drop

Problem is, if rides are sold out when i go on at the 7 day mark then i wont be buying this....most guests dont know that they hold back inventory......... If you go on at 7 days out and you are going to HS for 1 of ur 4 park days and SDD is sold out, RNR and TOT aren't available until 6pm or...

The fact that Disney is on their 4th different line skip service in 10 years (paper fp, fp+, genie + and now whatever this is called) shows how bad they are at this for guests. How come they can't get this right? It shouldn't be this hard. their competitors have mastered it. I'm not...

Thwre was still an inventory problem. Would you rather ride SDD, RnR and ToT once each or TSMM 3x? I think everyone knows that answer.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Genie was 100x more efficient and you could get 3 tier 1 rides before you even entered the park. You can't do that with this.
  14. J

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Not true. I got any ride I wanted with genie always. No chance with this

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

This is exactly how I feel and I think gsat numbers are going to plummet

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Couldn't agree with this more. This new system is extremely restrictive to the vast majority of guests and I think a vastly inferior product. To me it's the worst form of line skip they have had, below paper fastpass because you have to pay for this. This new system is terrible.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

The only better part of this is eliminating the 7am wake up. Everything else is worse than genie+. That was the biggest complaint
  18. J

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Yes, GSAT was low with FP+ (worse now b $ and less inventory) Pricing, modifying, park hopping and plenty more

Also dont forget Genie+ had 16 changes implemented in the 2 1/2 years it was in place, averaging once every 2 months something was either tweaked or wholesale changed because of poor guest satisfaction numbers
