Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

If you believe Scarlett Johansson, the only reason they put Black Widow on Disney+ was to drive subscriptions, so they're not interested in separating the purchase from the subscription.

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

Nothing about a possible Genie+ add-on, which has to be one of the most burning questions for potential buyers.

Have the Trams gone to Yesterland?

I find this harder to believe than the idea that Disney is just being cheap.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

It's a better movie than some of Disney's animated disasters from the era like Mars Needs Moms, but is it really well-regarded enough to warrant replacing a still popular ride? Sofia the first gets a lot more play by my kids on Disney+ than Princess and the Frog, but I don't see them making...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Didn't Mission: Breakout go from idea to reopening in about 10 months? It's sort of surprising that it's been over a year and they're still in the "early concept art" phase.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

It's going to get ugly if they sell a bunch of magic keys and then use the reservation system to block out a bunch of days to sell more full price tickets.

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

Box office forecasts for Shang Chi are pretty bad. Disney may regret not going the streaming route. Let the debate over whether marvel is in decline continue.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

They're struggling to get people to show up right now without additional fees and with short wait times for everything and easier than ever boarding pass distribution. Are people really going to show up more with more covid restrictions, or if people are more concerned about their health, and...

Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test required for theme parks soon?

Perfect example of how utterly confusing all these regulations are. How does a normal person keep track of what the rules are from place to place?

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

Well I also mean that if people just aren't buying Magic Keys at the rate they expected they might have a Genie+ add on, similar to what they had for Maxpass. I think they'd be fine with APs not using Genie+, as long as they can sell Magic Keys without it. Anecdotally, you hear a lot of outrage...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

If AP sales are weaker than they expected, they'll add on an AP version. Whatever brings in revenue. It's certainly not about improving guest experience.

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

If you watch the Behind the Attraction episode on Tower of Terror, they pretty much explain Mission Breakout as a rushed, cheap retheme where the lead on the project is distracted by a bigger project he's managing in Florida. You almost have to wonder if the people behind that show were trying...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

The ride is partly indoors in California as well but they don't make you wear masks on it.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

I was reading some comments about this program on another website unrelated to anything Disney but primarily made up of people with plenty of expendable income. It seems like the response is pretty much universal outrage. I see a lot of people saying they're going to cancel their annual trips to...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

Space Mountain? I went on MK's Space Mountain earlier this year. I don't understand what makes it so special that it needs an upcharge. I walked on to the ride with no wait twice. Did they basically just roll the dice to see which rides cost more?

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

Rumor is going around that the ultimate plan is to eventually sell ticket books that include tickets for each ride tier. A ticket book would include tickets for tiers 1-5, with the best attractions being considered "5-Ticket" attractions. When asked why they don't just use the old A-E ticket...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

What about scenes that aren't lit? I rode splash mountain 4 times over a week period and every time there were scenes that were dark. You couldn't even see some of the animatronics at all, and it definitely was a poor experience, but they made no effort to fix it even after a week.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

On April 30th we went straight to Haunted Mansion at 7:45 am to get in line and we were told that the line was full and that we'd have to come back later. That was when the lines were more spaced out for covid, but they have turned people away from standby before.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

What happens if you pay $50 for Rise and the ride breaks down in the middle and you're stuck on it for 15 minutes before getting walked out? It's happened to me. Hardly a $50 experience in my opinion.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

Disney has never been shy about seeking a substantial return on its theme park investments. But some people will undoubtedly see the new line-skipping options as a money grab. Others may view Genie+ as creating an uncomfortable class system. Mr. D’Amaro said the new offerings were intended to...
