We're in Smoky Mountains at the moment. The word on the street is Gatlinburg is discounting hotel rooms 30-40% for people being displaced. I guess they're expecting a lot of people in the next couple of days. I'm glad we're heading back to IL tomorrow morning.

Yes, that's the one that's not terrible. Although it was better with the live boat "driver".

So will this be a coaster? Seems like it but that's a shame. Replacing a 45 minute ride for a 2 minute or so ride that not every one will be able to ride is sad. It will leave only 3 family rides in future world, two of which are awful (imagination and nemo).

They have stated both SWL will open ind 2019. If that doesn't happen the company will get more criticism than they ever have. I also think it's a mistake to not open them at the same time. Seems very short sighted to me.

You know what would be nice, a new dark ride. They've already removed 2 wonderful dark rides and replaced them with thrill rides. We need a 10+ minute dark ride back please!

Recently, starting in Feb, Universal removed the parking fee if you go, I believe, after 6pm.

I think people are proving that they want NEW stuff. Avatar crowds have more to do with it being something NEW than an IP.

It's a hassle. I am so glad my kids are big enough now to not use a stroller. I hated having to park the stroller and then back track after each ride to find the darn thing. Trying to walk through stores with the stroller was also VERY annoying. We either bring a back pack and take turns...

I"m still wondering where those walking from the parking lot to the TTC will get checked. Do they have to back track to the tram security check?

Where will they screen the people walking from the parking lot? We always walk because we travel with someone with an ECV.
