    American Adventure Projection System Fail

Yeah. Not being efficient is discourteous... so courtesy is often sacrificed in favor of efficiency. Closing an attraction when it isn't 100% necessary is discourteous and inefficient, so the Show key gets overridden.

    American Adventure Projection System Fail

The keys are supposed to trump the others in succession: 1. Safety, above all else. All three other keys can be dropped in the name of safety. 2. Courtesy - guest service should come before everything except safety) 3. Show 4. Efficiency (show should never be sacrificed for efficiency) It gets...

    American Adventure Projection System Fail

Can fonfirm. Disney has incredibly petty and vicious people as operations leaders and they absolutely will reprimand a cast member for an e-stop that wasn't 100% necessary. That is how this happens. This is the same leadership culture that causes rides to keep operating with absolute key show...

Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Closing September 15, 2018

I've never bothered to see this and just hearing the audio from it when walking through the Hogwarts Express queue makes me cringe at how awful it is. Good riddance.

    American Adventure Projection System Fail

The show is actually in great condition these days, this was an error that I'm sure was corrected after this ONE instance. Stop with this "sky is falling" response any time there's a small error somewhere.

    UOR looking very rundown

I definitely agree with this thread for the most part. Some areas look great, but many areas look completely beat up, neglected, and trashy. I agree that it seems like they do very little power washing, repainting, touchups, repaving, etc. Seuss Landing is disgusting. Hop on One Fish Two Fish...

    Restricted Rehire status

While there is a lot of truth in what you said, no - I am looking for an actual answer.

    Restricted Rehire status

Funny, but I'd like a real answer

    Restricted Rehire status

Quick question here - what is the difference between restricted rehire and no rehire? Or are they the same thing?

    Gaston push up challenge...

Oh no! Wouldn't want people thinking we're a company that actually gets it! Lets stifle anything that actually makes the Disney brand seem cool and continue to be the over-protective hush-hush company we consistently get mocked for being!

Tower of Terror effects status watch

Ehh, it depends on what you're listening for, I guess. I feel as though the two on the right, when facing the elevators (AKA "Foxtrot" side), are usually better looking/sounding. ToT is somewhat unique in that there are four separate ride paths, four separate first on-ride scenes, etc. So I...

Tower of Terror effects status watch

and that's why they don't bother to fix this stuff, because people don't necessarily notice, even though the end result is a mediocre product instead of a great one. Or, you rode the one lift out of four that actually has decent show. Compare the audio on Disneyland's ToT to WDW's. Or even go...

Tower of Terror effects status watch

Update from Christmas/NYE week: *Some of inside queue was stuffy and smelled bad *Still can barely hear preshow video (one side worse than the other). This video is supposed to intimidate you and get you pumped to ride, not be soft and timid. Plus if new riders can't hear the narration, then...

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

Oh yeah, another change I noticed at Space Mountain - at the top of the lift, the walls to your sides used to be illuminated red. Now, they are dark, which makes the ride even darker by having less of a visual reference point. I don't know how long that change has been in effect.

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

The spiel is new as of the last month or two. The was always a spiel at the entrance, but now it plays all the way through up to the games, which is about half of the tunnel portion of the queue. As far as the "fixes" go, things like the re-entry tunnel have been "broken" since the refurb...

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

Regarding effects issues, something that really bothers me is the sound effect for the re-entry tunnel and how, ever since the "big" refurb, it has been off by a few seconds so that it doesn't even play until you have almost exited the tunnel. How is that laziness worthy of the most famous...

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

That's bad too, but that spiel only plays in one small room, and getting stuck there for a long time is not a normal occurrence. In the case of the Space Mountain queue. the standby line will be hearing it for 30 minutes or more unless the line happens to b e short enough to not be beyond the games.

For those who will miss Sorceror Mickey's Hat from DHS

I don't buy that DHS is "bigger" than MK, in terms of guest walking space. DHS is actually quite small. Hollywood Blvd and the Echo Lake area feel like they're about the same size as Diagon Alley.

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

but does it play non-stop with only a 10 second gap?

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

To me its just yet another example of TDO's shortsightedness and lack of quality control or anyone to step in and say "wait, maybe there's a better way." It's bad enough that it drowns out the iconic music, but stuff like that has got to be torture for the standby line, which, of course, always...
