    Disney’s Q2 (Jan/Feb/Mar) FY 2020 Earnings Results Webcast on Tuesday, May 5, 4:30ET

That's not just a Disney question, but a consideration for all retail going forward. I haven't read anything about how retail will change going forward. Restaurants have been changing - more outdoor seating being the first movement beyond pickup and delivery. Retail needs to come up with its own...

    Disney’s Q2 (Jan/Feb/Mar) FY 2020 Earnings Results Webcast on Tuesday, May 5, 4:30ET

I noticed over the past couple of years the store refurbs (i'm thinking of the ones near the front of DAK) have included much wider aisles - probably due to accomodating electric vehicles and xtra-xtra wide strollers - so these will do better when the parks reopen. Places like Memento Mori...

    Disney Parks Advanced Reservations (Speculation)

I feel the same about annual passes. If WDW wants to go the reservation route, I certainly understand, but that's not what I bought when I bought an annual pass. I bought 4 park access for all days for a year, less the blackout days I agreed to. They can't just change it to - sorry, there's one...

I can't speak for all parks, but EPCOT has plenty of water fountains - as someone who brings his own refillable bottle can attest. Now, water fountains with COLD water and a decent stream is a mouse of a different color.

News Disney to heavily reduce Capital Expenditures in the parks throughout 2020 during COVID-19 crisis

SSE's fairly creaky and definitely needs some major maintenance (and from what I hear, space mountain as well). Hope these attractions just don't get shuttered while waiting for a $$$ rebound. :(

I never thought WDW was going to be checking drivers licenses if they opened for "locals only"; i just figured it was a park opening without any of the hotels on property taking in guests. If someone decided to drive in from Georgia and slept in their cars, i'm sure they'd be able to get in (if...

    Opening WDW with Social Distancing

Much the same in the "outside" world. Folks are so thrilled they don't have to stay at home anymore, not realizing they will be spending their free time standing in line outside the Walmart and favorite restaurants due to "capacity". Perhaps that will give Disney fans a clue of what they will...

    Opening WDW with Social Distancing

What do think is a good way WDW can make their money, please their customers and keep a good public face? Perhaps they charge regular admission, admit there's restricted access, but offer each ticket holder a discounted (or even free) admission to use at a future time?

Could convert some of the bigger stores to the old "service merchandise" model - where there's just one of everything and when you pay a CM fetches you a fresh one already disinfected, sanitized, boxed and bagged.

    Opening WDW with Social Distancing

wow, the mask debate is going on furiously in at least 3 different threads... (I reckon we already beat the dead horse that social distancing is near impossible in a themepark with more than 10% capacity.) Anyone want to chime in on if there will be CMs at each restroom entrance to keep the...

What's Still On and What's Now Off

Perhaps they will learn to conform to a more liquid plan. Good health weeks, they will operate at 50% capacity, bad health weeks, they'll have to reel it in and bring parks down to 25% capacity, with staff following the same trajectory. Sure, it effects folks with reservations and those already...

Debate is more about WDW's ultimate decision. If there's no mandatory mask, some people won't go If there is mandatory mask, some people won't go. The company knows they will alienate a certain percentage no matter what. There's a poll on these forums - last time i looked, it was 50%/50%.

I wonder if CMs get to take them off during their breaks (or get a fresh one). Will there be anyplace for guests to get a break from their masks all day? (they can let one person into any former smoking area at a time...). I am half serious. I can't imagine guests pulling their masks down for 10...

No Disney transportation and MK being open? Then what will guests do once they park their cars at the TTS? Walk the route from the Poly past the GFloridian and hope they've finished the bridge?

Ditto coffee stir-ers in places like $tarbux. They need dispensers like they have for toothpicks, where just one comes out at a time.

Your logic is sound. with limited attractions, limited food seating, limited entrance into shops, 50k people standing around trying to social distance seems like a frustrating experience.

Depends if they use 100k as their measuring stick. if it’s true that 30k is a normal crowded day, perhaps 50% is only 15k.
