On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

Also of value: seaworld and busch gardens are zoos. Thats what keeps me coming back. Tampa Bay also has other great zoos and aquarium, making living in this part of Fla so rich in experiences.

News Disney world attendance down 80%??

As a Fla resident AP’er, how much -less the monthly charge - should i be dropping in the parks per visit to be “of use” to WDW. Epcot got festival booth as well as QSR food from me last week + overpriced marguerita + ballcap from China (they have some cool Shanghai Disney swag currently)...

News Disney world attendance down 80%??

Parking at epcot last wknd was socially distanced with an empty space between every car. A nice and unexpected perk to the usual cattle roundup.

Halloween 2020 at the Magic Kingdom

Besides it being a tad warm for Halloween focus this week, i’m sure a lot of fans appreciate the comforting ritual. Seeing all the Flower / Garden merch piled up at Epcot this weekend was (yet) another reminder of how much $$$ disney has to pass up this year. Will they use the same merch next...

    News EPCOT 2020 reopening reports

The major downside for us in epcot today was the lack of QSR choices. Usual go-to spots like the Tangerine and via napoli pizza window were closed, as was the QSR in China and fish n chips in UK. I was quite peckish by day’s end. Festival kiosks are fine for a taste, but not when you’re hangry.

    News EPCOT 2020 reopening reports

Good to be back. Saturday crowds are manageable. However trash can top space to enjoy kiosk food and fun is still limited.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I'm sure they want every trashcan top bar table to be ready for max lunchtime food/wineage . The long-suffering world showcase restaurants probably want the same thing. I'm a 2pm-3pm meal guy from way back in order to avoid the crowds.

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

Myself and many local AP's who are emerging from summer block out should help a tick with attendence in August and beyond. We booked our alotted 3 days and we're hoping Disney provides a few more. Park hopping should be an easy fix even with their reservation system. If we're at Epcot and decide...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Should be more CES than BestBuy, no? (with a bit of ComicCon thrown in). New sponsor quarterly.

    Any truth in this

For HM fast pass didn’t stop the policy of rushing folks through the preshow like cattle. (A moot point if reports from Tokyo are accurate). Omnimovers should, in theory, keep a line of any length moving. However we now take care of those who require accomodations and that can disrupt a flow...

News Annual Passholder previews at Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom to take place July 9 and 10

Feeling sad it's a weekday thing... and that disney's emails to me are spotty at best. I expect to receive my invite around July 12th.

Did i read correctly - all passes are eligible, even those with blackouts?

News A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival 2020

I am eagerly awaiting the Official Collectible Food and Wine masks - one for each country in WS! (and the Masking Around the World tshirts). All this makes good sense for capacity control. Shame we won't be able to take a skyliner to the Studios when our bellies are full.

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

This reminds me of the camel by Alladin’s carpets (and stitch at world of disney). I know the effects will probably be turned off, but it would be a cool opportunity to equip them both with a mask for educational purposes. 😷

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Could someone have just posted preCovid footage and passed it off as current just to make trouble?

So the app tells you to leave? Or the wristband sends...a strongly worded electrical current?

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I'm still trying to figure out if the reservations will be capped. Not just "show up at 10" but also "leave by 3". How would they enforce folks who's time is up and still lollygag around the Emporium? (or worse, stuck in the line for a bathroom)

Also begs the question of kitchen staff being able to safely distance. Waiting for order up at someplace like Columbia Harbour House and it looks like the kitchen is packed.

    Awesome Tomorrowland picture

Just goes to show how much rock formations and trees make the area look much more “tomorrow” than it originally did  Also RIP swan boats, i never knew ye.
