The fact they tore down a building just to rebuild another one is almost comical. I know they were counting on the bar on legs, but still….That’s probably the reason for this round of price hikes. Someone’s gotta pay for that duplicated effort.

The tracks run side by side going into and out of SM. That would be an impossibly tight 180. Plus, I think the maintenance spur is inside SM. Ain’t gonna happen.

I was hoping I sounded like a realist. It would be awesome to see them put something of substance in all the empty attraction and dining space in MK and fully flesh out the other parks, but they just won’t until the guests stop coming.

The way they see it, they do have something to compete……30k acres, 4 parks, 2 water parks, thousands of rooms spread across umpteen resorts, shopping, etc. The people keep coming, regardless of price. Why would they build anything until that cash cow quits milking?

It was not meant to just be around for a couple of years. That is flat out incorrect.

Yeah, they could build something movable…..I hope they do….the point was that current Disney can’t build it in a year. I doubt they could build it, deploy it, test it, and start the new show in 2.

If they can crank out a new show in a year-ish like they said, I’m betting it uses existing infrastructure unless they started building the replacement shortly after the debut of this current disaster.

This company hates its theme park fans. No other explanation.

All true. The only gripe I have with this is the fact they spent all that money and still didn’t add much net ride capacity in parks that desperately need net ride capacity. There’s some, yes, but not near enough for the money spent.

Correct, but the buildup here seems different this time. The usual folks that drop hints and possible plans are very quiet. Can you name a project of substance that will be announced that has been talked about here in the last couple of months? I may be missing something, but I can’t.

I remember the buildup to the last several D23 events here. Rumors flying everywhere, insiders dropping hints, and new accounts with mountain of salt needed prognostications. It seems like crickets this time, which means one of three things….. 1. Insiders lost their sources (unlikely). 2...

I would be shocked if this moves forward anytime soon. With the money they’ve spent on Cosmic Rewind, the central spine, and Harmonius, I’d expect this and Figment to keep limping along for years. At least we can have year round festivals with a $100 cover charge!

Because FP+ is never coming back and park reservations are here to stay in some form? Didn’t we already know that? I don’t understand what I’m missing here with your last couple of comments.
