    Disneyland newbie...

Hey everyone! Heading to Disneyland in 3 weeks and have no idea how it works. I'm a pro when it comes to wdw, but completely lost with DL lol 1. Do they have fastpass? 2. How important/hard is it to get restaurant reservations? Is it as brutal as WDW? 3. Do they sell discounted park tickets...

The Top 5 Things I Miss Most about Disneyworld

    1. The old Test Track when it actually had a storyline and purpose not just pretty colors and lights. 2. 3 hour EMH 3. Old SE narration and ending 4. Lower crowds during "non-peak" seasons 5. Le Cellier being only 1 TS credit. I did have to think pretty hard to come up with 5. Overall Disney...

How do you plan Food and Wine?

Really enjoyed reading this thread. My knowledge on the F&W festival is minimal, but I'd really love to spend a few days experiencing it all.

"We're going to get a Test Track for Soarin'"

On our recent trip my friend had trouble getting Mission: Space and Spaceship Earth straight. I just let her call it whatever she wanted lol However I still say MGM and sometimes call EE "the yeti". Just because you hear someone say something wrong, doesn't mean they don't know any better...

Going to Disney World as a Child vs. An Adult? NEED HELP

You mentioned how you look at Mickey and only see the costume... It's more symbolic than that. When you look at Mickey, see all the families that get to be together BECAUSE of the costume. Think of all the little kids who believe in magic just seeing the costume, which then brings joy to the...

    Rainy days.....poncho or umbrella?

Umbrella. I swear I get wetter trying to put on and take off a poncho than I do from the rain. Also, I've never hit anyone in the face with my umbrella and I don't sit my wet umbrella on seats.

    Diorama on the people mover

Thanks for asking that question @Dream-finder! I've always wondered the same thing. It seems like that scene is a throwback to "old" Epcot and I also thought it was leftover from a previous attraction. Hmm interesting to hear it's not. As always, thanks for the info!

    Kilimanjaro Safari bridge question

It tilted for us on Dec 15, didn't on Dec 16. Nothing's broken, its just truck spacing.

Memory Maker advance purchase price going up to $169

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation. I never considered getting it before, but I'm taking a friend who's never been (for a 4 day trip) and might be a while before she goes again. So I figured might be a good investment to look into.... but I had an interesting time justifying $149... Now I don't...

    How do people afford Deluxe?

We're not millionaires and stay at AKL every year. In addition, we're staying at Boardwalk for the first time in Feb and, with the promotion they've got going now, its incredibly cheap ($2900, 4 nights for 2 with tix and food)!

What Makes Great Attractions So Great?

I think you nailed it right there. It's impossible to get overly saturated with themes that can only be experienced while inside the parks. Unless you visit weekly, these themes stay fresh every single time you experience them. For all the IP attractions, you can watch the movie at home, play...

    Thoughts on Carousel of Progress

The COP is where I feel the closest to Walt and his aspirations. I ride it to pay homage to his memory.

New bus app feature being tested at POFQ

In a world where GPS is becoming old technology, it shocks me that they don't have a full system like this already in place.

'A Frozen Holiday Wish' to begin November 5

So happy to read positive reviews on this board, for something Frozen no less! I'm trying to stay spoiler free until I can see it live next month, but now I'm even more excited! I know most here are critical of Frozen so if you guys liked it, then it must be something special :D
