News Another Drunk Banned for Life

just got back from WDW, was out at EPCOT several times over the week. Didn't see a single out of line person, we were there day and night, not a one.

News Another Drunk Banned for Life

I've only seen two people visibly drunk over the last 15 yrs (100+ days in the parks.) One was on NYE and the other was at a night F&W. That's pretty good for the number of people there each day.

News Another Drunk Banned for Life

Let me amend my statement. Living in a coalmine with the Marlboro Man and doing toner shots is not going to be good for you. Passing someone who is smoking and smelling it is not an issue (unless you are asthmatic.) Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, sorry.

News Another Drunk Banned for Life

First, I am not a fan of smoking. I quit more than 20 yrs ago and I encourage anyone who does smoke to quit. Second, there are no facts to back up that "second hand smoke" is an issue. You may not like how it smells, etc., but it is not a health risk. Anyone you find who says it is, is basing...

News Another Drunk Banned for Life

Actually, Banning cig advertisements increased profits for the cig companies. The only thing that slowed down consumption was education and a 1000% increase in price. Banning booze altogether in the 1930s in the US did not keep people from drinking. I would say a good rule of thumb is to worry...

    Entertainment cuts

I'm good with all of these closings except the Muppets. You would think that them being an IP would grant them some special status. Plus Liberty Square is a bit of a snooze, they are a bright spot.

News Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine to possibly impact the theme parks this weekend

I agree, I would not want to weather sustained 45mph winds either. But those speeds, for a system that will be 50mi off the shore, and 90mi+ from WDW spells 0 impact on the parks. /slightly concerned for Vero Beach Resort, but only slightly.

News Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine to possibly impact the theme parks this weekend

This is horse feathers. The storm currently has 30 mph winds, projected to reach 45 mph before hooking out to sea again.

News Crane for Castle Christmas Lights in place

I'm not saying they will do this, just that they could come up with a better solution (than using a crane for 3wks) to something that is going to happen every year. I think if they used a combination of LEDs and projection it would look just as good and would go up much faster.

News Crane for Castle Christmas Lights in place

Well if they used fiber optics they wouldn't burn out... so there.

News Crane for Castle Christmas Lights in place

THIS. I think this every year. It would look better and would eliminate the labor every year.

    New Seven Seas Lagoon Resort

Well, we have the correlations of: Grand Floridian = Main St. Polynesian = Adventurland Wilderness Lodge = Frontierland Contemporary = Tomorrowland That leaves Fantasyland and Liberty Square adjacent themed resorts as options.

News Epcot's Rosewalk walkway closed for widening construction

I'm not saying that the structures aren't prefab and dropped in place. I'm saying that based on the layout of the area and the amount of concrete they poured coupled with the fact that they have a festival going at EPCOT for 2/3 of the year, that this will always be a space to grab a...

News Epcot's Rosewalk walkway closed for widening construction

What is your take on these new structures? I say they are permanent, Pete11435 says they are no different than temp structures erected in the past. I think the concrete work, plantings, and buildings all speak to permanent. I'd love your opinion (if it supports mine.)

Look, I know you are nervous about the $1 you have riding on this with me, but at some point you are going to have to realign with reality here. ;-)

News Disney Genie digital assistant app coming to Walt Disney World

I think MDE has come a long way. I made my dining & FP reservations via it and I use it to see wait times when in the park. It's worked fine for our family. Once some FPs were deleted, but a quick stop in Guest Relations got them right back. This new feature will be a boon to those new to...

News Major Hurricane Dorian impacts to Walt Disney World 2019

I'm worried about the Vero Beach Resort. The models have it making landfall right over it.
