Gorilla and Hippopotamus born this week at Disney's Animal Kingdom

This is so exciting! I can't wait to see them when we go in a few weeks. 🥰

Yes, $10/person. Not terrible for 1 or 2 people, but get a family and it's not so easy to throw that away. In the hypothetical situation the OP described, I'd be making my choice ahead of time as to which thing was more important. Or make the reservations for evening and hope for an early BG.

The point is, however, that you aren't truly "locked in" until you've entered a park for the day. So if we have selected AK for the day, but then we accidentally sleep in and miss rope drop, there's nothing that currently would stop us from cancelling the pass for AK and rebooking for MK. Will...

Right, but I can't hold simultaneous reservations in MK, AK, and Disney Springs. Plus, you have to cancel ADR's the night before in order to avoid the no-show fee unless you use a work-around or call and beg.

The system limits that. Also, aside from a few people who know a trick or two to avoid no-show fees, people don't book reservations unless they fully expect to use them.

That was my plan before park passes became extremely scarce. If things stay as they are, we may do something along those lines.

    News Morocco Pavilion redevelopment

Well, hopefully we'll get a chance to check out the inside of Marakesh during our August trip. I had always wanted to eat there, but it never worked out. Guess it may be too late now.

Furthermore, as long as park passes remain available, there's nothing stopping a guest from booking DHS to try for ROTR and then switching to a different park if their 7:00 attempt was unsuccessful.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

Don't forget the Muppets shows in Liberty Square. Were those still operating up until the shutdown?

News Magic Kingdom and Epcot Fireworks to Resume July 1st

Hmm... I keep thinking about how many ts reservations I'll have to cancel to pay for Fastpasses. At least this is refundable, unlike Boo Bash or the Christmas equivalent, right?

    Park Open Procedures

Any recent updates? Last I heard, rope drop was: MK - 9:00 (what time do they start letting people through security?) Epcot - 10:45 DHS - 8:30 (security opens at about 8) AK - 7:20-7:30 for Pandora

    Disney After Hours BOO BASH

No. The parties have been selling out (again and again, ahem) without the added cost of an additional fireworks show. Why would they add one at this point?

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

One other thing to note: in recent practices, no one (including myself) has been pre-selected. I have to pick someone or "select all" to be able to click the join button. When you have valid park admission and a park reservation, your party will be pre-selected as always.

Any idea how long it might take them to get BATB going if they are in rehearsals already?

I've been wondering the same thing.

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

What will it take for them to drop the 2:00 park hopping limit? Is ROTR the true limiting factor here? (wasn't sure where to pose this question)

Have your birdies been tweeting? Or are you just making an educated guess based on the change of park hours?

    Disney After Hours BOO BASH

Now THIS is definitely something I'm concerned about.
