Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Since so many are sharing their experience, I'll jump in. Sadly, I do know a lot of people who either refuse to get vaccinated or want to wait until they either have no choice or feel more comfortable that people aren't having late-onset side effects. The former group is definitely larger than...

They updated the storage guidelines for Pfizer so that it (along with Moderna) can be stored at regular pharmacy freezer temps for a short period of time. I believe it's the same temp as the varicella vaccine (chicken pox) and a few others, so there should be plenty of places that can store it...

Unfortunately, some or many young adults will likely fall through the cracks. My 18yo son did file taxes in 2018, so hopefully he will get a check (he's married now, but wasn't in 2018, so probably just the $1200). My 20yo daughter did not earn enough to make it worth filing in 2018, so I'm...

Ditto as to the travel time. We have a room-only booked and my kids have date-based tickets, we have AP's that are set to expire on May 12 although that should get extended. I'm very concerned about my dd and her friend who are flying to Seattle this week. They're headed to a community outside the city, but I'm afraid they'll end up stuck there.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

    1. Definitively? Other than Wuhan, China, no one knows for sure - or they're not saying publicly. Experts have made educated guesses that it was animal to human transfer. 2. We don't know yet if warmer weather will have much of an impact on the virus. MERS is apparently another coronavirus that...

Can't answer your question, but there's an awesome app called WDW Food&Wine that lists all the menus and prices at each kitchen, plus you can mark the ones you want to try and then check them off afterward. I loved using it last year.

Everyone's risk tolerance is different, obviously. I'm sorry you're having to decide in such a short time, especially while the situation is evolving so rapidly right now. Hope you can make a decision and be at peace with it, one way or the other.

For example, I live in Iowa. I would expect that whichever labs in Iowa get permission to conduct testing will be accepting samples from across the state, not just at their specific hospital or in their specific city.

The Texas cases came from the Diamond Princess and people who were repatriated from China. No community transmission yet in Texas, not that I've seen reported.
