News Disneyland modifies mask policy - UPDATE 7/28/21

Part of the game the A*(hole anti-vaxxers are playing, is to keep this virus spreading and mutating, so that eventually, a variant will come along, that the vaccines are wholly ineffective against. Then they will all turn around and say....."SEE!!!! The vaccines are worthless." Given how many...

The only blocked dates on the Flex were the 2 weeks at end of year.

Disney can do that through the # of reservations available as well as blockouts. I wonder whether they will have a different block for each level, or if it's a free for all.

Which is why I bought it without hesitation. If I had a Deluxe pass already, I would have been ed.

The reason they will never limit the vloggers, is because the vloggers provide Free Advertising and Hype. It would be insane for them to restrict the vloggers from providing that service.

Which is why I never park in their lots. I found enough ways around it, that I visited with my Flex pass around 30 times, never having paid to park. My favorite was taking OCTA bus for $4 round trip, which went from Laguna Hills right to the entrance in under an hour.

If this is true, my choice will be between the Believe & Enchant levels, depending upon what the blockout dates are.

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

I don't see any of the $2,000+ passes people were freaking out about. And I see a cheap under $500 pass still being offered.

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

Well, considering Flex had no parking option, and parking could not be added to any of the lower passes, unless you were grandfathered in, that's no difference.

With reservations, there's no way around this eventuality. The early bird gets the worm, so use your # of reservations wisely.

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

I'm curious about the blockout dates. One thing I liked about the Flex pass, was I could go on weekends. It might be more like the Deluxe now on the lower passes, meaning lots of Saturday blockouts during the summer, and no holidays.

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

This sounds like the Flex Pass, just with blockout dates depending upon which level pass you get. If that's the case, it's not as bad as I had feared. We'll see soon enough.

So no limit on # of visits? Just a limit on # of reservations that can be held at any one time? If that's the case, I'm relieved beyond belief.

I'm going with Capped Entries, based upon the rumors I've heard. But perhaps with the added restriction of having a certain # each month, and if you fail to use, they do not carry over. Meaning if you get the 12 visit pass, you can't wait and visit 6 times in November and 6 times in December.

Disney must be confident that this is not just simply pent up demand to visit a park that was completely shuttered for almost 14 months.

I am going based on rumors I've heard, and more specifically, a rumor that someone told to Mondo last night on his stream, that Mondo confirmed matches up with what he's heard. I imagine it will be very close to what is released, but we'll obviously know in about 3 hours, so there's no problem...

The thing is, they Always increase the prices when there is a big new attraction. People seldom complain. Nobody complained at the jump in AP prices when Galaxy's Edge opened, because there was reason behind the increase. With Reservations, Disney has complete control over crowds. They can...

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

Obviously there is no comparison between Disneyland & Knott's. And I also don't expect Disneyland to be the price value that Knott's is. I'm perfectly willing to pay more to visit Disneyland. But there becomes a price at which Disneyland is no longer a value to me personally. I am older now...

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

Well, Disney knows what they're doing, I'm sure. And it sounds like there are people here who think the changes are a good idea. But, it's not for me. I'm glad I got to experience the parks for a little over 9 months with my Flex Pass. I only wish I had gone more, but who would have expected...

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

I just watched Five Fires stream talking about the program coming out tomorrow. If you were expecting it to be horrible, get ready. It's FAR worse. The most expensive pass with all the a la carte extras, will cost around $3,000. Passes will offer 12, 24, 36, 48 visits over the year. They...
