Agreed.....
And Star Wars movies are not even Hollywood so much.... they're more closely associated to UK and Lucas ranch say 20 miles north of San Francisco(which is already approx 400 miles from Hollywood)
Disneyland.
I could understand Animal Kingdom or EPCOT where one could bring forth a viable argument since the those two are such a departure from the traditional Disney setup but anyone saying MK when DL is an option I just can't take seriously. MK pickers would be bringing their East Coast...
For me home grown is far more palatable. Of course I do not want IP based attractions and lands but if Disney has to inject them into the parks I prefer an organically Disney created one like a Mickey Runaway Railway rather than an Iron Man or Kilo Ren all up in my grill.
For those of you who don't dig on IP infestation in the parks I'm curious if you find one type of IP more egregious than the other: home grown Disney IP vs buying another's creation like Star Wars, Avatar, Marvel, Indiana Jones or Pixar.
So true......
Going out and picking up an IP at the supermarket and paying 4 billion for it ain't cool.
........better to stay home and cook up something more creative, nutritious and delicious.
25 to 1 odds:
if Bob had control of Disney Sea he would rip out drilling machines, lava monsters and submersible pods or mini subs and Moanaize the place.
I know this is going to sound painfully obvious but I think it's warranted based off that above.
Two things:
Culturally Japan is not USA......Japanese and USAers view the world in vastly different ways.
Culturally OLC is not Disney.....OLC and Disney aside from being different entities view...
A difference, sure......but an enormous differece? I don't see it. We talking coach here, right? ......not 1st class gouge level pricing, no?
Domestic flights are fairly cheap even coast to coast(I remember paying approx $185 to $275 from SFO or Oakland to Orlando's MCO say 6 or more...
And it is........doesn't mean it's the best necessarily but it is the most highly themed, immersed rollercoaster anywhere.
I'm sure you're going to disagree so I'll just preemptively ask if not Hagrid, then which is the most immersive?
((I'm hoping you don't pull out a Rockin Roller, Mummy...
What makes a ride repeatable?
The ride will have any or all of the following 3:
thrills
many details and elaborate sets
a non-linear story, open narrative
Sure if by de escalation you mean very significant reduction of aggregate use.
But if de escalation looks like just a trivial modifier to the existing use rule like Disney and Universal will allow eating and walking but all other times cover the face..... I'm not too eager getting poked.
The "Escher" like stairs in Haunted Mansion is greatly underappreciated.
When I read or hear about Mansion it's close to always:
omnimovers/doombuggies
stretch room
hitchhiking ghosts
Paul Frees narrations/ghost host
which is better Dl's or MK
ballroom
Once in a while the attic pops up in...
