    Wetland Use Expansion Permit

320 acres, or about the size of Epcot. Though as danlb_2000 noted, the acreage is not contiguous.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

It's a nice argument, but you simply cannot compare DCA (pre-reboot) traffic, with MK traffic. What worked for the amount of people at DCA, would create even more chaos at MK. And would you want to work guest relations (or anywhere for that matter), if the MK had suspended all parades and...

The Boat House construction at Disney Springs The Landing

Hey Debbie Downer, the thing hasn't even opened yet to the public. Why spend so much time creating ways in which the attraction could fail?

    Electrical Light Parade Replacement?

They didn't expand the hub because MSEP was so popular, they expanded because the Magic Kingdom itself is that popular.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

And not to offend you, but that is just personal preference, and not a fault of Disney. I really enjoy the red light on the fountain. It brings out the copper colors, which is very pleasing to my eye.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Yes, it has. The new scrim has a circumference large enough to allow workers to finish the detail on the turret, and install the electrical, etc. (my non-construction expert guess, that is) They're quite large in person, but not so large as to pull focus away from the castle.

Disney Springs development to bring massive expansion to Buena Vista Drive

They will be very, very welcomed shade structures in just a few weeks, when the 90s return. For that reason only I am glad they were built!

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Because there wasn't a place in which to lay around. If these lawns had been open in the 1990s, I would wager people would be doing the exact same thing the crowds of today are doing.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

ehh...a big chain link fence would be ugly as hell. This is a small fence, purposely designed to "disappear" into the grass and vegetation. It looks just fine, and if it hadn't been called out to most people, most people wouldn't notice that it had been recently installed.

    Small Disney Springs update 2.6.14

That is the old Cast Services building that is being removed to make way for the garage.

Chapel Hats opening at Disney Springs

It may just be me, but a hat store and sun glass store in very sunny Florida seems like it would do pretty well. Especially stores in a very popular shopping destination.

PHOTOS - Discovery Island expansion at Disney's Animal Kingdom underway

I was at DAK on Sunday, and the walls did not ruin my experience. Now, there are definitely a lot of walls when you first come on to Discovery Island. It's narrow and boxed in, but once you pass this zone, it's smooth sailing. It continues to be a relaxing, lush environment. Just temper your...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Yes! I've dreamed of an overhaul of this corner of the park. The restaurant should stay, but it should be re-themed as a Jules Verne-esque vision of tomorrow. From the Main Street side, it would be a period appropriate cafe themed in a steampunk interpretation of the future. From the...

    Frozen Summer Fun 2015

I agree that they're milking it, but I disagree on the shameless part. I do, however, wish there was a Black Cauldron Summer Fun Live event.

    Frozen Summer Fun 2015

Shameless? When Lion King came out there was a parade at Disneyland, followed by a show at MK, a parade unit at MK, a show at DAK, and a Broadway musical that is still playing. Is that shameless?

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

It is from today (the cloud cover and cold temps). The Partners statue is out of frame on the left side of the photo, so you cannot see the big box.

New Main Street U.S.A bypass to be built to address entry and exit congestion at the Magic Kingdom

They already have a bypass without access to the shops. They're just dressing it up a little. It's all the project was ever supposed to do: dress up a drab parking lot with new walls, lighting, landscaping, and paint.
