Many cast are being asked if they want to go home early or have the day off (sometimes aggressively) and part timers are not getting scheduled at all and haven’t for months, I’m sure many PT will start quitting soon because they have to beg for shifts every week - often not even at their home...
They’re basically begging people to come to Disney. It’s getting pretty sad. What other discounts are they going to come up with next 😜 hopefully they realize the product they’re selling isn’t what it used to be
I work in the resorts and our attendance is down and everyday management asks everyone if they want to go home early or want the day off to cut hours due to budget cuts. It’s annoying - although I don’t mind it being slow.
I work at one of the resorts and our occupancy is low all summer. Not unusual but definitely lower than usual. We have alot of UK bookings and will have our friends from South America (Brazil etc.) but still lots of room.
I think they should use the space instead of that gate being closed making walking into Toy Story land feel awkward like you walk into a wall, it's themed already as on stage space. I was disappointed they didn't make an entrance /exit from Jessies Trading Post because it seemed like they at...
Briar Patch is not the exit gift shop nor is was it exclusive to Splash Mountain merch. The exit shop was called "Splashdown Photos". The other Frontierland shop that is closed is this one. It used to be sponsored by Smuckers.
Hopefully this explains why the Briar Patch and Prairie Outpost have been closed since 2020. They have a masterplan. This part of the park is kinda outdated and the only reason most people walked down this way was to run to Splash or Big Thunder. Peco's Bills has never had a good reputation from...
Did this today and was pretty blown away by it, it is a shorter ride like Mine Train but worth waiting in line for at least. The new paths / open space is really great too and offers new views of the park. Also, there was an unfinished section at the bottom of the restroom building that seemed...
Any guesses on what the new name of the exit gift shop (previously known as "Splashdown Photos" ) and The Briar Patch will be ? They have never mentioned those in any announcement.
I hope they plan on re-opening these gift shops eventually. It's sad to see them closed.

I also wonder what they will do with the Briar Patch/Splashdown Photos at Tiana's Bayou Adventure, they must have to rename them I would think.
Entertainment is very short staffed right now and the few performers they do have are working doubles to cover the Halloween entertainment so I doubt they have staffing for anything additional right in the forseeable future.
Most of the staff will be CPs....due to lack of available workers. not a bad thing per say but not permanent labor in that most of the opening staff won't be there long once their programs end (most are already on an extension from Fall 21'.
the couple roads that are technically entrances to Disney property like Vista Blvd, Sherberth Rd, Reams Road really could use some landscaping and a little polish.
I think the area around the Contemporary looks awful every time I drive by it.
is the new road going behind Grand Floridian costuming? that's what it look like. I know all Grand Floridian castmembers have to park in that lot across the street and walk over which sucks.
