    Should we go?

Agree with @Animaniac93-98. You don't want to rush Paris or Disney. You should visit DLP, but not this time. Paris is a magical city. Enjoy!

    25th Anniversary Trip Report

I think this thread really sums up the love that TWDC are pouring into DLP right now. @Animaniac93-98 has captured the improvements really well. But also the fact there's still a way to go! The recent €2.1bn investment announcement reassures us the improvements will continue. As someone who...

    25th Anniversary Trip Report

I'd say that even on the busiest days when the park is nearing capacity and wait times are huge, DLP doesn't feel as crowded as WDW or DLR. Something to do with the spacious design of the park. Makes it much easier to get good photos, I reckon!

    25th Anniversary Trip Report

During the Halloween season DLP still runs the regular parade and there's an additional Halloween 'cavalcade' a few times a day along the parade route, which is cute. Halloween at DLP has a great vibe, and the weather is usually pleasant. Don't expect festivities on the scale of the US parks, as...

One Day Trip to DLP in April

You're spot on @Swissmiss. I must've been walking backwards in my head!

Oh - also Mickey and the Magician is a must-see in the Animagique theatre!

One Day Trip to DLP in April

If you get a hopper, I recommend spending the first hour and a half in Disneyland Parc and tick off Pan and whatever else you can, then you don't have to worry about them later on. Then get to the gates of WDSP around 09:30 or 09:45, and as soon as they open the gates leg it as fast as you can...

    DLP, General/specific/good/bad tips/advice desired

June should be fine crowd-wise as long as you go on a weekday. Avoid weekends. The best dining in the parks, in my view, is are Walt's. It's a superb fine dining restaurant. If all-you-can buffets are your thing, both Café Agrabah and Plaza Gardens are very good value. DLP has the world's best...

    Apps for DLP

DLP's BTM is still the best version of the ride in the world, but it is susceptible to winter closures when the temperature hovers around or drops below freezing. Someone explained the issue to me once. Something to do with the brakes being less effective in the cold, and Disney being very cautious.

    DLP, General/specific/good/bad tips/advice desired

Unless I can get a really great annual pass discount at one of the on-site hotels, I swear by Airbnb. There are dozens of great value apartments in nearby Serris, which is 20 mins walk to the parks, or there's a shuttle bus that picks up in the village. It saves me an absolute fortune as I visit...

News Disney Not Renewing Great Movie Ride Sponsorship Deal with TCM ; Attraction to Close

I have a hearing impairment and for me the audio quality on Great Movie Ride is it's big downfall. It's really the worst. If they could sort out the acoustics it would still be an excellent ride, imho

    Apps for DLP

I've been using the new DLP official app for my visits over the last few months and found it quite reliable. The challenge at DLP in winter is that ride stoppages are much more common than in the summer because of the cold weather (Big Thunder, I'm looking at you). It causes surges at the rides...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Winter crowds outside Christmas and New Year times are a new thing at DLP, and proof they're finally doing a good job marketing the parks. The only way to guarantee a quiet day these days is to visit during a mid week winter day. It's great news for Disney, but a sure indication the resort needs...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Also worth noting that DLP security is very thorough and has been for some time - more so than I've ever seen at WDW. Every guest and bag is screened airport-style as they enter.

Cost of tickets bought at park entrance?

@Swissmiss, a friend has reliably informed me that the current walk up price at the gate for a park hopper ticket is €90. Even with your pasholder discount it may be cheaper for them to buy a 3 day ticket online in advance. Or you could sponsor them for a Dream annual pass (currently €200...

Cost of tickets bought at park entrance?

Sorry I don't know but I can check next time I'm there in a couple of weeks if that's not too far out. Remember there's seasonal pricing, so it depends when you wanted to bring them. Remember there's a current special offer for guest passes at €37 per day (with park hopper) until 24 March. You...

Forthcoming DLP refurbs for the 25th and beyond

I love the look of this! Haven't been to DL since their renovation but I'll be back in Paris for new year weekend. So can't wait!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closing for major refurbishment August to November 2016

No disrespect, but I disagree that WDW is more worthy of upgrades than DLP on the basis that it's in the US. On the contrary, here in Europe we often feel like the poor relation because the US parks get all the attention from TWDC. That said, our DLP refurb will have taken 13 long months by the...

    Restaurant reservations

I don't consider Blue Lagoon exotic, but it may just be my taste. Here are the current fixed price menus for Blue Lagoon (I took this photo while I was there last weekend). Not having the dining plan increases your options a lot - which is a good or bad thing depending on how you view it!

    Restaurant reservations

There are lots of great options depending on what you like. Quick service restaurants in DLP really aren't great, but pretty much all the table service places are good quality. In Disneyland Park the Silver Spur steakhouse in Frontierland is good, but for the sheer fun of it my favourite option...
