Trip Report "You stop it, you bad boy Captain Hook!" **COMPLETED **

We were in Pago Pago. When we were given the map at check-in I was apprehensive because it seemed so far away, but it really wasn't. Besides I enjoyed just wandering around the resort anyway! Your kids definitely didn't disturb us, the only noise complaint we had was that for some reason they...

Trip Report "You stop it, you bad boy Captain Hook!" **COMPLETED **

Following along and loving your report so far! DH & I were staying at the Poly the same time as you. It was our first time staying there and we fell so in love with it! My favorite resort has been AKL but this is definitely giving it a run for its money. Your kids are so cute! Can't wait to see...

    News D23 Expo 2017

I will actually most likely be stalking the boards for the entirety of D23, I just didn't want to admit it...;)

    News D23 Expo 2017

It turns out I have two vacation days to take by the end of July otherwise I lose them. So I decided that I would take off the days of D23 so I can... keep hitting refresh on this site during the Star Wars and P&R panels. o_O :depressed: Don't let me down guys, ok?

    Pop Century Room Rehab

I'm very happy to hear that the rooms will now have a coffee maker. We would actually ship a cheap one from amazon to the resort because I find it difficult to get moving in the morning without coffee. There was also no way I could drink that nescafe garbage they had at the food court. :hungover:

Edit my plans please! December trip

I've got a couple of ideas for meeting all the characters you want to in your dining plans. If meeting Pluto is more important than eating at a new place, do Garden Grill for lunch on your Epcot day, then you can do 1900 Park Fare on your departure day. OR instead of doing Be Our Guest for lunch...

Edit my plans please! December trip

I'm going to agree with everybody else and say don't do 1900 Park Fare on your arrival day. Save it for a morning in which you will be waking up at the Contemporary, then you can just hop on the monorail and traveling will be much less stressful! You asked about ADRs for lunch on your Epcot...

    Most Magical Experiences

I have this thing I do every trip, I take short notes of all the magical experiences that make me happy each trip and I write them down on the little note pads from the hotel rooms. Then I look back at them whenever I need a pick me up or just miss Disney. I have a LOT of notes! I have a few...

Expect more premium events with recent organizational changes

http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/walt-disney-company/news/13aug2014-new-vice-president-for-disney's-animal-kingdom-as-josh-d'amaro-moves-to-new-role.htm Maybe he's still involved in his current role? Or maybe it has to do with Pandora construction starting while he was DAK VP? It was my...

Expect more premium events with recent organizational changes

He was only VP of Animal Kingdom for about a year and a half I think, from Feb 2013 to summer 2014. Before that he was head of Adventures by Disney, and after the DAK gig he became VP of Resort and Transportation ops. I have no idea what impacts he has had in any of those positions. Edit to...

Food reviews from our 11 Day trip

HBD used to be one of my "can't miss" restaurants for WDW trips, but it seems like every other trip is off. Food has always been good, but the service has been so wildly inconsistent. It ends up being either the best or worst service of the whole trip. Wrong food, wrong drinks, slow service, we...

What is your Favorite Disney Restaurant to dine at on the last night of your trip?

We like the Boma dinner buffet on our last night. We also have a tradition of ending our trip with lunch at Yak & Yeti. We're big Animal Kingdom fans so we tend to make sure to start and end our trip there.

29th Birthday dinner- Where would you go?

I'm going to second this. A couple of other alternatives are Citricos at the Grand Floridian (one of my favorite special occasion restaurants) or the Biergarten in Epcot. Epcot is certainly more of a hike, but it is a lot of fun for a birthday.

    Your favorite relaxing spots.

Reading through this thread has me dreaming of all the magic of relaxing at WDW. A lot of my Disney loving friends think I'm crazy for thinking its a relaxing place. I love the ambiance of the parks at night and just strolling slowly as they get close to closing time. My favorite spot to relax...

AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I do like that it is offered for you to watch at the resorts. One of the things I greatly enjoyed on DCL was a channel in the stateroom that had a huge assortment of past Disney films that you could watch on demand. We would go back to the room at some point each day to rest/get changed for...

    Favourite Resturants

At Magic Kingdom I love Skipper Canteen and Be Our Guest for TS, both have really fun atmosphere and delicious food. For QS, I'd choose Be Our Guest again and Columbia Harbour House. For Epcot, my favorite TS are Coral Reef, Biergarten, or for a splurge, Monsieur Paul. For QS I really like...
