Those are great points (regarding copying software). But its my understanding (and please, someone correct me if I'm wrong) but it was more than just FP software that was modified to become the current park reservation system.....but hardware components such as servers, databases, etc. Still...

Great point. My biggest issue with FP isn't the ability to get on a desirable attraction using a faster line.....its the saturation it creates on the queues of other attractions..... Captain America posted something above - which was a great technical explanation of how FP increases the...

There's a continued assertion by some that wait times are better with FP......and truth be told, its a mathematical impossibility on any attraction with a saturated queue.

When you originally posted those categories in another other thread...someone responded to you saying that the DVC category is most likely extra FPs as perks/inticements to prospective DVC buyers, not DVC owners....kinda like getting a free night for sitting through a time share presentation...

The longer that time passes between the reopening of the parks (when FP was effectively shutdown) and the introduction of something new, the less that meltdown will be. Sure, people will complain, but people always do. The cold hard truth is that FP+ was an abject failure on so many levels...

About as generous as a dealer handing out free smack.....its just to get people hooked. In fact, Disney's efforts were so successful in the transition from traditional fastpass to FP+ that they basically made it impossible to enjoy the parks without everyone taking advantage of their 3 'free'...

I've been saying this to some friends for quite a while. I suspect WDW will trail Uni in a relaxation or removal of mask mandates. If Uni relaxes or drops its mask mandate at some point significantly in advance of Chapek's 2022 proclamation (i.e. sometime this summer) - and Uni experiences...

I think this does a great job of keeping "Trader Sam" around, while removing the offensive elements. I'll admit, I was resistant to all of these changes at first - but I've come around and Im on board with them at this point. Cant wait to see it all on my next trip...

Not true. You don't know whether Disney is negotiating a concession for Mears. Also, disney is private property and exercises unparalleled control over their land. If they can trespass an individual for breaking wdw policy (not law) they can put the squeeze on Mears to not drive billboard...
