I understand WHY Disney made their decision but I don't necessarily agree with it nor do I think Splash was an "evil racist ride" that had to leave.

They had well over half a century to correct the course. But they were insistent on burying it under six feet of concrete instead of handling the film with the tact and care it deserves.
