    DISNEY and your DNA

Why collect your DNA when they are much more adept at collecting your wallet and everything in it?

Space Mountain wait times with Tron Lightcycle

Somehow the crowds seem to stay the same or increase, no matter what they add (this is a rare occasion where a ride is being added and not replaced).. I suspect there won't be much change with SM crowds, but I do think the way people tour the parks may change. People may try to do Tron and SM in...

RotR: Disney is still not at Universal's level

I can agree with the OP here. The immersive detailing on RotR looks incredible, but the actual experience appears to be dominated by copious levels of detail and not as much visceral thrill. But to each their own .. obviously. Having recently ridden Hagrids, Spiderman, HP FJ and Gringotts, RotR...

Poll: best queue in Magic Kingdom

Just has to be PoTC IMO. The only queue that rivals it would be IJA in DL.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge receives two Themed Entertainment Association awards

Kudos to the Imagineering team - can't wait to see it and also experience RotR. *And for the record, Hagrid's is a pretty amazing attraction IMO.

    Tron Coaster

Based on everything I've read and seen here, I'm going to pre-judge it as a solid "fine". Having ridden Hagrid's earlier in the summer, I was hoping for more additional effects. I expect that the general pop will lap it up, like SDMT or SDD .. but hey, its something new, and that is good. Now...

Expensive yes, Crowded yes, Cast Members unpleasant, haven't seen it yet.

I can deal with the higher prices but one thing I will just not tolerate is poor weather at the rides! lol Seriously though, we're in the same boat. CM attitude has been fairly consistent for us over the past 5-10 years .. although I strongly believe you get out what you put in when it comes to...

Is this the new standard and am I the only one who sees it?

I wonder what the graph would look like showcasing the gap between Exec and entry level salaries over the history of WDW. I'm sure its demoralizing as a CM seeing that your bosses can make anywhere from 10 to 1500x more than you .. gasp. And the fact that profits are off the scale, yet true fans...

High prices makes trip planing easier

Actually, I've gotten more and more frustrated with Disney because we used to go yearly between 2006 and 2016 but the rate of Disney inflation has increased so disproportionately to value/content (to cover new expansion .. or simply to increase profits?) that we've now changed to once every...

News Test Track Closing for Refurbishment January 2020

Maybe they can re-theme it to something more coherent and applicable .. something like an automotive testing ground where you experience different phases of the car development process. I don't know, just a thought.

Has Disney Pricing Increases/Atmosphere Cuts Altered YOUR FAMILIES WDW Attendance?

Count us in the once-a-year to once-every-two-to-three-years camp. We've now been to UNI 3 of the last 4 years instead - which, surprisingly, even though it's not quite as enjoyable on the whole, its been a welcome change of pace and allows us more time to relax at the resort/pool and has saved...

News Pandora and Dinoland to close early tomorrow at Disney's Animal Kingdom

It is extremely annoying when they close the parks for these sort of special events .. except when you're part of the special event :) I've been to several of these over the years and they are AWESOME. I remember being at a work conference when they closed DHS (MGM at the time) and there were...

Virtual Queue for Star Wars Land.

I waited for Hagrids new ride at IoA for 2:15 and that was at rope drop. I cant see how SWGE rides wont be worse than that unless the reservation method works perfectly. I know it worked pretty well at DL but I have to think HS will be a mad house for a few months at the very least.

    Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure is open

Rode this last week and it was amazing (duh). Got to IoA about 30mins early with another several thousand people. Once they dropped the rope we went straight for Hagrid's queue and ultimately waited 2:15 to get on (granted, the ride was down for about 45mins during that time) - thankfully we...

Popular rides/attractions you've (intentionally) never experienced

After many trips as a child and now as a family of 4 we finally went on Astro Orbiter on a whim as we were leaving one night .. and really enjoyed it! It's faster than I expected .. much more so than the other kiddie spinners around the parks. I'd do it again if there wasn't a big wait. Maybe it...
