Is there any restaurant (full service or counter) "In the Parks" that provide value ?

Two elements at play here - cost and value. It may cost less to eat elsewhere but as others have already stated so eloquently, it may not produce value. Value is lost when one loses up to 2 hours of vacation time leaving property. Value is lost when the theming/experience goes away too...

Trip Report An Opportunistic One Day Solo Trip Report COMPLETED

Great TR! Congrats on your graduation. I really think they missed an opportunity with the chicken on the bag at Chicken Guy. They should have put the glasses on the back of it's head.

PizzeRizzo Closing or Receiving Menu Changes?

I think they just don't know what they have and how to deal with it. The Muppet Show was a sarcastic look at showbiz from behind the scenes. They took away a lot of the sardonic humor in new editions of it. The movies, most of them, were eh. Then the took the original series, and created a...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

First of all, huge Star Wars lover here. I get it though. I see your point perfectly and thanks for sharing that. I think this was simply the case the WDW missed the Potter boat and they needed to do something quick and big if not bigger to counter it. Potter kind of changed everything...

    India Pavilion?

Right. Epcot was to experience the culture for the culture. The other parks dabbled in it through the characters and stories. Of course that is the way it should be. I too don't mind the character visits. They help bring the children into it in their own way. They should have stopped there.

I like My Disney Experience but definitely want to vent about fast passes. Anyone with me?

Parkhopping compatibility is my biggest issue with FP+ right now.

Cigar Store Indian - Main Street

Agree. In the US we commonly adopted the term "Indian" for the native people. This was based on the original explorer's route to the far east and when they came upon darker skinned people, thought they had landed in India rather than this new continent. I agree with you this is outdated...

DVC - Jambo House vs Kidani Village

Jambo just feels more special to me. Kidani feels like a deluxe hotel, but it feels like a hotel/resort nonetheless. Jambo just transports me to another place entirely. One of my favorite resorts on property, if not my most favorite.

    Are you a 'waver'?

When a child looks out at the ride and towards my way, I always wave. They appreciate being acknowledged and if they are looking to go on the ride and are concerned that it is scary, it helps encourage them that someone is having a good time. The spirit of WDW is to do this and keep it a kind...

That too. They made sense when there was only one Dumbo ride that took half a day to get on. Now they are superfluous.

Cigar Store Indian - Main Street

Historically the Taino "Indians" (Native Americans) were the people the explorers encountered on the island of Hispanola. They performed "Cohiba" a tobacco smoking ceremony led by a "Behike", a Native American shaman/like leader who took their prayers to the "Atabey" a Native American god. If...

POLL: Which Classic MK Attraction Would You Sacrifice?

I voted Jungle Cruise mostly because I think Adventureland needs some new blood. The park is very lopsided based on all the changes and it has yet to catch up with the rest of it. We need Adventureland love much like Fantasyland got a few years back.

    Dumb guests doing dumb things.....

A WDW trip is different things to different people. There are families, groups of young adults, groups of older adults, etc. All come to this place with different agendas. It's big enough to accommodate them all, just be respectful of others as you do it.

Are you planning on staying at the Star Wars resort?

Definitely a must-do, at least once. I won't do it without reading the reviews and assessing the price, however. Immersion into the SW universe is one of my life's dreams
