Two elements at play here - cost and value. It may cost less to eat elsewhere but as others have already stated so eloquently, it may not produce value. Value is lost when one loses up to 2 hours of vacation time leaving property. Value is lost when the theming/experience goes away too...

Right. Epcot was to experience the culture for the culture. The other parks dabbled in it through the characters and stories. Of course that is the way it should be. I too don't mind the character visits. They help bring the children into it in their own way. They should have stopped there.

Agree. In the US we commonly adopted the term "Indian" for the native people. This was based on the original explorer's route to the far east and when they came upon darker skinned people, thought they had landed in India rather than this new continent. I agree with you this is outdated...

Jambo just feels more special to me. Kidani feels like a deluxe hotel, but it feels like a hotel/resort nonetheless. Jambo just transports me to another place entirely. One of my favorite resorts on property, if not my most favorite.

When a child looks out at the ride and towards my way, I always wave. They appreciate being acknowledged and if they are looking to go on the ride and are concerned that it is scary, it helps encourage them that someone is having a good time. The spirit of WDW is to do this and keep it a kind...

I voted Jungle Cruise mostly because I think Adventureland needs some new blood. The park is very lopsided based on all the changes and it has yet to catch up with the rest of it. We need Adventureland love much like Fantasyland got a few years back.

A WDW trip is different things to different people. There are families, groups of young adults, groups of older adults, etc. All come to this place with different agendas. It's big enough to accommodate them all, just be respectful of others as you do it.
