    Bad Experience at OI Meetup

They should have caught the open container boarding the ride. Never a good idea

Why is there no walkway from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom?

Conceptually, you are being transported to a special place. The idea is that you can't walk there. You are to suspend disbelief, come through this transportation center and get on the monorail or boat to get there. This was the original concept, and I realize now with more resorts and buses...

Maybe it's not the vacation destination, maybe it's Us!!

We get going early to the island with a full day each day to accomplish. By the time we come back, we are so spent from the day ashore. It depends what you do at each port!

Maybe it's not the vacation destination, maybe it's Us!!

WDW and a Cruise are similar experiences IMO. Both are fast-paced vacations that often require a vacation afterwards to recover. Both also involve way too much consumption of food/alcohol for the climate you are in. I think for an off year, I'd choose something relaxing, with a beach, rest up...

Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

Sometimes, yes. I always said to my wife, I want to be dropped off at the door, take an elevator and fall into bed. Very few resorts, even the deluxes have that. Closest to that is actually the Swan/Dolphin.

It's that time of year again!! Your absolute worst Christmas Song

"Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas" by a mile! Love Macca. He's a demigod of music, but this is just horrific. Melodically it's a mess, all over the place. It has cheesy 80s synth sounds in it. It's about as organic as cheese out of a can on a ritz cracker with a side of mayo. When I...

Leaving a young child out of a Disney trip

A stroller fixes any and all problems. 6 should not be left behind. 6 is prime WDW age.

    Clueless about the Dining Plan!

Dietary needs will be addressed, even allergies. They do a wonderful job and practice excellent food safety. Tell the host/hostess about the allergy concern and the chef will come out, discuss needs and even help if the meal is a buffet. They will happily make something new for an allergy...

    Syrup

We have traveled with a couple from Vermont. They brought their own beer and syrup everywhere they went. They said, and they are right, that once you get used to the best, you just can't have the other stuff.

Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

The Deluxes are smaller resorts usually (exception being POFQ) and that makes them a bit more manageable, especially after a hard day in the parks.

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

Universal needs to build it's ride vehicles to hold something the size of an average woman's large purse per seat. Their locker policy is terrible. Not a fan at all. Not something I have ever had to worry about at WDW.

    Walke Talkies

You're going to an environment where wifi is everywhere. Texting is going to be the best option. Make a group chat for all on the trip, and send/receive updates. You can also use it as a holding place for all of your pictures as well in case anyone were to lose their phone, there would be a...

Idiot gets banned from WDW for repeatedly displaying signs

This is precisely why I abhor entertainment and politics mixing together. I won't watch SNL, I won't watch an award show and I don't like people who think the world revolves around politics.

    Differing Palates Of WDW Guests

As a foodie from NYC I can tell you dining at WDW is a satisfying experience. Do I expect the best I've ever eaten of anything? No. The best pizza, best sushi, best Mexican, best anything can all be had elsewhere. To some people, the foods they eat at WDW may be the more authentic ones they...

    Plastic shopping bags

Agree with you on that yet people in my town (also plastic bag free here) purchase and dispose of re-usable grocery bags like disposable ones. Much worse for the environment as they are definitely not biodegradable.

    Minnie Vans

I'm a big Uber/Lyft user. I don't ever try to have a conversation with them. It's all in the app. The idea is it's quick and you get dropped off where you drop the pin and picked up the same. Mostly they are limo drivers and taxi drivers looking to pick up some extra money.

    Poly Question

The resort is beautiful and you'll likely be happy in any location. We stated in Tokelau which has now become DVC. Were I forced to make a choice today, I'd choose a lagoon view Tuvalu room these days. Still, I think any location has the isolation yet short distance to anything you'd need...

    What Animal Was That?

A stray cat is always possible, but I'm guessing an opossum or a nutria (beaver/beaverlike). Basically alligator food. whomp whomp.
