I was kind of hoping they'd want to have something announced in time for the 50th.

I *thought* you could get them for park opening time. Was pretty sure I saw some 9:00 slots when we booked last time. But I couldn't swear to it, because we normally didn't book our first FP+ until somewhere between 10-11. We just relied on rope drop before that.

Makes sense. And I must say, seems effective. I sure wouldn't join the line if it had a 90 minute wait, lol.

Absolutely. There are success stories, but they are the exceptions, not the rule. Unfortunately there are more people that can't rise above poverty, than can. The reason for that is myriad but not the least of one of those reasons is systemic prejudice.

Yes, true. I guess I'm looking at it through the lens of someone who thanks to FP+, has never waited longer than 20-25 minutes for a ride, whether that was FP+ or standby.

Obviously late to this, but... I can absolutely believe this. I mean, just as a small observation, for starters being middle class ourselves, yes, we are very close to being priced out of Disney. And out of our friends and family, or even just people that we know loosely, only a couple will go...

So having a car would definitely be a necessity for us, as we are a) doing a split stay (one week off site and 3 days on site) as well as planning some non-Disney activities on our trip (Kennedy Space and a day trip to the Gulf Coast beaches). Driving is actually pricing out to be quite a bit...

I am wondering which would be better - driving or flying? We live in Canada, so it's a good 26-28 hr drive. We've done it before - was great on the way there, less so on the way home because we were tired. Our youngest has ASD and is anxious about flying, but would fly if she had to. However...
