Big changes coming to FASTPASS in March

Not accurate, IMO. CM's usually announce something like "Now Accepting 12:35 or earlier". You guys are making it sound like some guests were cheating the system. Not the case at all. We all will have to adjust to this, but there was no rule breaking going on before.

Big changes coming to FASTPASS in March

As others have stated, there are just so many variables into a standard day at the parks that can throw a one hour window off. Let's say you get an incredibly slow waiter at your restaurant (my most recent trip to the Brown Derby comes to mind) or you get stuck on an attraction for 30 minutes...

    Do people really dislike T2-3D?

Favorite attraction in the park for me and probably second only to Back To The Future in my all time list for USF. It's an amazing show.

Uni's New Plan For Potter Could Make Significant Dent To WDW

One of the biggest news stories of the year involved a former football coach. And yes ESPN has been going downhill over the past few years for sure. Obviously trying to create news in many situations.

Uni's New Plan For Potter Could Make Significant Dent To WDW

I hope that WDW gets a Remember Dreams Come True style fireworks show for the 50th. A show that honors the history and current attractions in the MK. But I really can't wait for an updated Illuminations show. ROE is a good show, but it's way past time for a change, IMO.

    Expedition Everest effects status watch

Not disagreeing that other broken effects being bigger deals, but it is a HUGE deal that the most important aspect of Expedition Everest is no longer operational.

Uni's New Plan For Potter Could Make Significant Dent To WDW

I think all of us are REALLY hoping that Universal follows through with all of this promise and are able to do something we've never seen before. Not only is it good for us as visitors, but Disney needs a big wake up call.

At Least This Gives E.T. A Stay Of Execution

That's the problem you have when you base so many attractions on movies and pre-existing properties. They tend to become dated easier. Original attractions like Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion are more timeless. I wish Disney wold remember that. But Universal is a bit different because they...

At Least This Gives E.T. A Stay Of Execution

I didn't think theme parks were allowed to do that anymore

    Jaws closing?

I think the first half is what needs to have the technological updates the most. The escape scene is great, but the static figures and primitive effects need to see an overhaul.

At Least This Gives E.T. A Stay Of Execution

Just mentioned this in another thread. ET needs a refurbishment NOT a replacement. When I think of the Universal Studios movie company, the two films that immediately come to mind are Back to the Future and ET. It would be a shame to have neither represented in their parks.

    Jaws closing?

I agree. BTTF The Ride, to me, was by far the most iconic of the original era attractions and now that it's gone, nothing is too sacred to not be replaced. I rode Jaws for the first time in the late 90's and thought it felt old, dated and needed to be replaced then. ET Adventure isn't the...

    Jaws closing?

As glad as I am to see Jaws leaving, I would be very disappointed to see a clone of the Madagascar ride from Singapore in that spot. Kong, Transformers, or another major property please.

    Jaws closing?

Personally I was thrilled with this news. I always thought that Jaws, Kongfrontation and Earthquake were all extremely overrated (while ET Adventure was a bit underrated) and I always disliked walking through the Amity area too. I am hoping for an expanded King Kong 360 similar to what USH...

    Resort Merchandise diminishing?

Yes!!!! I asked multiple times this summer about Boardwalk specific merchandise. Glad to see that I wasn't the only one and they did something about it.

AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I was riffing on the great segment from Clerks 2 that talks about how horrible the Lord of the Rings movies are and how all they really are is just people walking around. I will admit that I haven't seen Return of the King, but after suffering through the first two movies, I don't think I could...

AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

The good news is that at least Disney didn't get the Lord of the Rings franchise. Imagine a land that you were forced to stay in for 9 hours where NOTHING HAPPENS!

AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Yep. Personally, I wish WDI would be allowed to create theme park specific original properties, but since that seems to be impossible in modern times, it doesn't matter to me where the movie properties come from. Disney, Fox, Paramount....doesn't mean anything different to me. Actually, IMO...
