What are the crowds like in disney now with Harry Potter being open?

Case in point! IMO your average WDW park visitor, like us, is not going to spend the day at Universal to stand in line for 9 hours when they could be enjoying their Disney vacation back on property. Hence why I said I doubt the grand opening of WWoHP will have much affect on WDW crowds, if at all.

    Purpledragon's trip report

ZOMG!!!!!!:eek::eek: Do you have that at home? LOL! In all seriousness, the idea of having Dole Whips at home sounds great and all, but the lack of wonderful Adventureland atmosphere would diminish the joy of eating it. Getting a Dole whip is an integral part of my WDW trip. EDIT...

What are the crowds like in disney now with Harry Potter being open?

Who outside of rabid HP fans would wait in a line for 9 hours just to get into the WWoHP land? Not even the ride, just the themed area. I can't even justify standing in line for 2-3 hours for concert tickets to a group I really like, I couldn't imagine 9 hours for something like WWoHP. LOL!!

    Semi-Poll: Navigation

I'm a lefty usually, probably cause I'm left handed, but I think more than anything its because I like the attractions that happen to be on the left side. In MK I like hitting Adventureland first for Dole Whips and PoTC. In WS my favorite pavillions are on the left, which are Mexico, China, and...

What are the crowds like in disney now with Harry Potter being open?

LMAO!! WIN!!! Its funny how people seem to think that WWoHP will somehow cause WDW to be completely barren or something, when it reality it will have no visible effect on the Disney parks. Those tens of thousands of people lined up to get into WWoHP are HP fans who went to Orlando...

Hacienda de San Angel at Epcot get it's rooftop dome and some exterior theming

Looking at the height of that, is it going to affect the sight lines across the lake and block the view of the Mexico pavilion?

Where would you like to be stuck over night????

Well I need some specifics. Would we be stuck there after the park was closed and everything was shut down/locked down? Would there still be attractions/rides/restaurants open? Because my choices would be different based on those criteria.

Do Orlando Residents get tired of the parks?

I think people who live in FLA but outside Orlando have it best. They live in FLA so they can get a discounted AP, while at the same time they live an hour or so away so when they go, they have the choice of doing a day trip or staying at a resort for a few days. But the good thing is they can...

Do Orlando Residents get tired of the parks?

Yes but as an Orlando resident with an annual pass you could wait and go during the off-peak season and stroll thru the park at your leisure anytime you wanted. I know I would wait and hit MK during the slower/cooler months and just go at my own pace, really soaking up and enjoying every minute...

Do Orlando Residents get tired of the parks?

If the job market weren't so bad I would love to move down to the Orlando area just to have the opportunity to get an annual pass and hit the parks any time I wanted. I've gotten annual passes in the past and made multiple trips down to WDW by myself for a day or so. I would often drive down to...

    Casual Look for CMs???

I may give that a shot, however if I shave every 3 days I find that I can shave dry, as long as I take a really hot shower before hand and soften the stubble up. :p

    Purpledragon's trip report

Well let me clarify, the ride itself looked good, the lighting was great and most of the sets were in good condition. But what I noticed at least 5 or 6 AA's with damaged limbs/eyes, no working A/C, and condensation on everything. My guess is the A/C went out sometime during the week prior to my...
