Is this really a thing or is it April 1ST? Cabanas in the parks.

The more I look at that picture of those ridiculous tents near Space Mountain, the more it angers me. It's just so tacky and cheap.

I don't know the quote he's referring to, but clearly, kids or no kids, if you can afford to step into any theme park, you have at least some disposable income, by definition. If you can afford to flush $650 down the toilet for a tent in a theme park, you either have a substantial amount of...

    Favorite deluxe resort

Of the ones we've stayed at, here is how I'd rank them: 1.Wilderness Lodge 2.Boardwalk 3.Polynesian 4.Grand Floridian 5.Beach Club 6.Yacht Club 7.Old Key West Would like to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Want to stay at Contemporary for convenience to MK, and because it's original. No desire to...

Even those, I can't fathom spending time (never mind, $650) in. However, if they're out of sight and not such complete eye sores, whatever. Those things in Tomorrowland are inexcusable.

OK, you're joking. You had me for a minute.

This. Sorry to insult those who plan on doing this, but the only reasons I see for doing this are: 1.You like to show off how much money you have. 2.You are incredibly lazy. 3.You have so much money to spend, you insist on spending it in the most ridiculous ways possible. You are in, what...

That's your reason for doing it? Because you've never done it before? I've never set myself on fire, but am in no rush to do so. To each his own. Personally, I can't think of a more incredible waste of time than watching any movie at any theme park, let alone one as amazing as Magic Kingdom. I...

By sitting in a tent not experiencing the park? Yeah - Totally awesome!

I'm sorry - Those tents are HIDEOUSLY out of place. Absolute eye sore. Doesn't even remotely come close to blending in with Tomorrowland. This has to be the worst idea Disney has ever come up with. I don't care if they get rented out or not. I hate the expression "Walt must be rolling in his...

Is this really a thing or is it April 1ST? Cabanas in the parks.

For a group of 8, with everyone splitting the cost, OK - Maybe. I'd never do it as I like to spend my time in the park, in the park. And I don't see hanging out in a tent located between Space Mountain and bathrooms, in the dead of summer, with no A/C or bathroom, very relaxing. But to each...

The execution is pathetic. The price point, as you said, is ridiculous. As most others have said, just get a room at the Contemporary. At least it will have A/C and a bathroom.

Just saw pics of the tents. Hideous eye-sore. Looks like an outdoor concert venue.

Very little of what TDO does anymore makes much sense.

That's a lot of money to spend for a designated meeting spot. Why not just save a couple hundred bucks, stay at the Contemporary for the night and walk back to your room if leaving the park is that big of a hassle?

    Volcano Bay

I hope so, but given as though nothing was mentioned about AP holders, I don't think it's a good sign.

    Volcano Bay

One thing I don't understand is how Universal is claiming this is the 3rd theme park, yet you can't access it with your annual pass.

    Volcano Bay

I don't fear it as I really don't care, but yes - I think it's inevitable that the pool and lazy river will have massive crowds.

Guest Relations at Magic Kingdom. I actually had a phone interview for call center at WDW, but the pay is so low I couldn't possibly do it.

ANYONE HAVE LUCK REDEEMING HARD ROCK REWARDS?

We had the exact same problem. We ended up canceling out Hard Rock reservation and booked Royal Pacific instead. More importantly, we canceled our Hard Rock Rewards membership. Honestly, it isn't just a Hard Rock thing. Pardon my language, but Universal needs to remove their head from their...

    Epcot dissapointment

Absolutely. Hell, I think the OP was generous. Given the current state of Epcot, "disappointment" is an understatement.
