    Crab legs!

My family ate at Cape May during the first week of July and I would venture to guess that I ate 2 pounds of crab legs!!! I never heard a thing about them going away, so hopefully you can all enjoy yourselves as much as I did a short time ago!!!

MK rope drop and dining reservations

When we were there a few weeks ago, we had breakfast in the castle at 8:05. We then exited and were told by a CM that those waiting for Anna and Elsa would want to be right by the rope behind the castle/near the carousel. Those wishing to go to the 7DMT would want to go wait at the rope right...

?? about park hours and what do you do the first night?

The plan for our family has been to check in to our room, unpack, hit up the resort pool, and head to DTD with the order of those depending on whether or not our room is ready upon arrival. This also allows a good nights rest in order to be at the Magic Kingdom EARLY the next day!

    Best Deluxe Resort?

Having only stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would have to say I loved the feel of WL the moment we walked into the lobby. The boat ride to MK and the Electrical Water Pageant were really nice as well. However, there is something to be said for waking up to a Giraffe...

A Better You Thanks To WDW

Not that I think that I am a bad father, but for me, our Disney vacation is a reminder of how important and special family is and how important being a great father/husband is. It is a time where our family is focused solely on each other. We always laugh because even during the little time...

Why Can't It Just Be Easy?

Makes you enjoy getting away even more!!!:D Luckily my only pre-trip stress is that first couple of miles after pulling out of the driveway wondering what we have forgotten! Have a great trip!!!

    Next Resort???

Coronado used to be our mod of choice, but as families grow, so do their preferences! We have since been hooked on Port Orleans Riverside as I mentioned in the Riverside thread! I really don't think you can go wrong with either one. I guess if you are looking for familiarity, then the...

if you only went to one $$$ restaurant in WDW what would it be?

Cape May Cafe is located at the Beach Club Resort. My family did a character breakfast there a couple of years ago and had dinner there just a couple of weeks ago. This is becoming our family's "off day" restaurant of choice!

    Passing Along The Magic

We used to really enjoy giving paper fast passes to families when we could use them ourselves. One great idea that a family told me about a few years ago is that their child loves to get a balloon from the vendors on Main St. Well, they fly and the child can't take the balloon home, so the...

if you only went to one $$$ restaurant in WDW what would it be?

    Fastpass+ Touchscreen/Pressure Screen

Bingo!!! I was having an awful time using the screens and one of the CM's finally told me to use my finger nail....only problem is, I have no finger nails as my bad habit is biting them!:banghead: It was amazing how much better they worked though with what little nail I could get on them!

What's the big deal about Port Orleans?

I guess many times it's the luck of the draw. This year we were in a room that was a very short walk to the bus stop. However, the walk from our room to the quick service restaurant was roughly 7-8 minutes, which doesn't seem too long until you stop and think about how often you randomly go...

Elsa and Anna a bad thing?

Many are still quite good, but extremely short in comparison to our trips from years ago. We had a stretch from 2003-2012 where we went to Disney every year before taking a year off and returning just 2 weeks ago. All I am saying is that you can certainly see a difference in the duration of...

Elsa and Anna a bad thing?

This post hits the nail on the head for those of us who have small children (girls especially). My oldest daughter who is now going to be a freshman in high school has grown up loving the character meet and greets. Some of our fondest memories and best video of her at Disney have occurred...

Oy. I might be "That Guy."

It amazes me how Disney transportation moves the mass of people it moves as effectively at they do. Having been on a bus and watched the driver load and strap in the ECV in the time that they do and then continue on with transportation is amazing. During our July vacation we had a little wait...

    What Would Be Your choice

Give me a free trip with free dining and a Magic Kingdom view room at the Contemporary! I will gladly go during the non-peak times after I retire from my teaching career and take my wife on numerous "relaxing" Disney vacations!!! Peak time is doable and you can get a lot of bang for your...

What's the big deal about Port Orleans?

Having stayed at The Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Wilderness Lodge, Coronado Springs, Art of Animation, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies and Riverside (in both a Royal Room and a standard room in Alligator Bayou), I must say that I find myself going around and around in my mind as to why each resort...
