Anyone else, had frustrating situations with their Travel Agent??

Fair enough and I don't mean to belittle your job in any way. If people are coming to you then clearly there still is demand, however of my friends and family over the past decade I don't know of any who have used a travel agent for domestic travel. That in and of itself probably speaks very...

    Pandora vs. Harry Potter

I say that because I have no interest in theme parks other than Disney and would have preferred one stop shopping for my Potter obsessed children

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

I can't imagine leaving one of my children behind at any age for a WDW trip, it is one of the most baby/family friendly vacations you can possibly take. My middle daughter went to DL at 9 months, it was great fun for everyone including her 5 year old sister and us parents. For me it is when they...

    Pandora vs. Harry Potter

Which is so unfortunate for both Disney and us. Had they locked down Potter it could have been the end of any serious competition from Universal.

Anyone else, had frustrating situations with their Travel Agent??

The one situation where a Travel Agent is extremely helpful is complex multi destination international travel that requires lots of documents and what not (For example travel in Central Asia or Sub-Saharan Africa), but otherwise it is amazing to me that they even exist anymore.

    Sci Fi Drive-In

I have had to wait for up to an hour even with reservations at scifi and this was just a family of four in late august for dinner at 4pm

    Pandora vs. Harry Potter

Harry Potter is a globally loved phenomenon that has maintained a massive fan base that continues to grow for 20 years. Avatar was a successful one off movie that must have a few fans somewhere, I've never met one but there have to be at least a couple. So yeah there is that. Of course I am...

Which hotel with a one and a half year old?

I don't know $900 more (65% more) for three days seems like a big difference to me but if that is not big money for you there should be no doubt the contemporary is for you, go for it! :-) If money isn't the issue there is really no advantage whatsoever to Pop over the contemporary.

Packing question about visiting WDW in early December

Coming from MI you may be happy with a sweatshirt, BUT as a fellow Northerner don't discount the effect of humidity in FL in the winter. At home I am wearing a long sleeve shirt and no jacket at 45 degrees but in humid central FL 45 feels absolutely frigid. Florida 40s and 50s feels colder than...

Which hotel with a one and a half year old?

If you can afford it do the contemporary no question at all. Being walking distance from MK with a little one is priceless and can literally be the difference between being relaxed and miserable. Consider waiting 20 minutes for a 20 minute bus ride with a diaper disaster vs a 10 minute walk...

    Resort Advice.....Polynesian or Beach Club???

Poly hands down, with little kids the monorail and boat access to MK can't be beat. Also a quick walk to the TTC to get to Epcot. My eldest LOVED the poly at 5, it is very kid friendly with an awesome pool.

Happened to me this morning, I just spent 10 minutes trying to get it all scrapped off my shoe before going in to work.

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

Where I live the dog poop bags get thrown in trees, under bushes, stuffed in cracks in masonry and generally disposed of in any place but a trash barrel. People seem shamed into picking up the poop with a bag but incapable of disposing of it properly. I considered starting an instagram of all...

MNSHP - Why no Hershey candy?

of course not but my point is that its hardly fair to dismiss it as a small local theme park. For me personally WDW and DL are the only amusement/theme parks that I have any interest in whatsoever.

MNSHP - Why no Hershey candy?

I am pretty sure Hershey Park has as many rides as MK, probably more.

    Money!

Everything you have plus 10%. Ok seriously for a family of 4 I figure on 200 per day for food and misc expenditures depending on the kids ages. When it was just my wife and I we'd budget $100 a day for food and what not. With a quick service I'd figure on $40 per person per day for some food...

    Biggest Regret at WDW Restaurant...

I am definitely a foodie, I love almost any variety of food you can imagine and I'd rather be a little hungry than eat crappy food, and I really like sci-fi but its been almost three years since I have eaten there so maybe the food quality has declined? That said, if you live in or near a city...
