I don't think it's anything in particular the UK did so much as whatever natural trend the virus is doing. How and why delta spikes and falls so quickly I'd really like to know. Does it just hit a wall of folks it can infect, or does it just burn itself out quick. Is it relative to prior...

The R rate for Florida looks like it may have peaked, although it'll take time before the case numbers go back down, it's at least some good news. https://covidestim.org/ Why cases seem to valley out after spikes seems (Even in past pre-vax waves) is still a mystery.

Vaccinated folks had purple wristbands because certain areas (mostly bars/casino) were designated vaccinated only. Scan youtube for videos of recent cruises to see it in action or just look at the cruise line websites.

I went on a cruise a few weeks ago, it was more than fine especially with reduced capacity, plus you knew exactly who was vaccinated and who wasn't (Saw very very few unvaccinated), and the testing, so it's the absolute opposite of what you suggested.

Yes, and Scotland started the decline on July 4th, they have been ahead of the rest of the UK. Death counts are miniscule compared to prior UK spikes. The vaccine helps.
