FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

The first restarted W. Hemisphere Royal Caribbean cruise from Nassau on Adventure of the Seas (with paying passengers) went on without any problems, you can scan youtube by the ship name for the 25 or so various vloggers that were on it -- it seemed fairly normal except for checkin/departure and...

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

Judge rules in favor of Florida over the CDC (at least as filing an injunction against the CDC order. Primary bit of info here. The injunction is stayed until July 18, at which time the Conditional Sail Order will only stay as a non-binding consideration, recommendation or guideline, and not...

Likely, but not open yet, I think they want gauge response first.

Celebrity Millennium -- good news or bad news?

The first Royal Caribbean cruise on this side of the pond is going on right now (Adventure of the Seas) out of Nassau and seems to be going well too. They are at the private island Coco Cay today. There's a lot of youtubers on it (Including some normally Disney ones) so it's easy to find...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

If you search social media or youtube for the ship name "Celebrity Millennium" you can get some folks talking about it that are on board (set it to show videos within the last day or week to filter out the noise). "Adventure of the Seas" is the one that leaves from Nassau tomorrow and it's...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

But it didn't spread, All those in close contact with the two guests tested negative for the virus. I think it's actually proving it's working out pretty well and it looks like things are continuing on as normal on it.

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

That article has blatant errors in it (It didn't sail from Aruba, it originated from St. Maarten), but it looks like the process worked and it's not going to stop the rest of the cruise. Considering it didn't seem to spread and they remained healthy I'd call it a decent outcome.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

Web Slinger is missing the villains, but in it's place you have merchandise you can buy to use with it to fight against other merchandise (Spiders). The Chapek retail obsession factor is strong here.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

This looks like an ok addition, not great, but ok. If I had to compare the ride to anything, Ninjago comes to mind. If you want to compare it to Universal, the ride feels more like Disney's response to the fast and furious "ride" than anything else (Doesn't even come close to IOA's SpiderMan)...

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

They are working so hard at not saying the word "Marvel" here, it makes it a bit awkward at times.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

"The site" followed up the Universal dropping masks with a "confirmed" headline, referencing internal employee memos (but not showing them). Still not officially announced, however. If it's based on the <%5 positivity rates it could be true. Disney could follow up with a late evening...

Do we still need park reservations when back to full capacity??

Some of the folks on WDWMagic have been saying for years they needed to add more capacity (new attractions), and reservations is the artificial way around it, now that they introduced it with the Covid restrictions. I know they have attractions such as Rat, Tron, and GotG, but that is not...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

That the clickbait site saying that? If they don't then that will backfire (There's no Orange County Mayor meeting scheduled like they had last time to announce the next phase, even though SeaWorld already has the policy). Either way the Orlando Intl Airport is expecting a traveler count...

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

With how quickly things have been changing with real world data, I'm not sure the CDC's old guidelines are worth much. The June cruise is bookable now, https://www.celebritycruises.com/itinerary-search?dates=2021-06&ship=EG

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

The cruise will go on despite the political noise. The test cruises are a waste of time anyway Looks like the procedures worked on that particular ship, and it seems they are headed to Florida to get the crew vaccinated (since I guess Europe is really behind in the Vaccine compared to the...
