Pixar Fest Was Fun, Fun, Fun!... May It Live In Our Hearts Forever!

The stanchions are needed for the big crowds that show up every night for the Club Pixar dance party! Oh wait. 😄

Pixar Fest Was Fun, Fun, Fun!... May It Live In Our Hearts Forever!

That "Schmoozies!" sign from 2001. It's amazing that's survived all the changes to this park!

Rumor Moana E-Ticket Ride to Adventureland

I'll be happy if there isn't a large boxy show building visible facing the SSL.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

My sister went with her husband and three kids (11-16) this past April for the first time. We're in the NYC-area and have gone to Florida since the 1970s as our mom had an aunt there and my parents liked Disney. She's continued as an adult and usually goes every two years with her family and our...

    Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

There were Max, Buff, Melvin heads in the "Mile Long Bar" at Walt Disney World back in the day too...nearly certain those moved at the least/may have had some audio. The "Mile Long Bar" at WDW got absorbed into an expansion of the adjacent Pecos Bill Cafe in the late 1990s. It's been a minute...

    Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

Can they just change “restaurant” on the different signs to say “Barbeque Jamboree”

News Test Track to be reimagined

I'm excited for the day the ugly blight canopy starts to come down.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Agreed. I said it somewhere else here or on the DL version of this thread, but I can't imagine this was anything but intentional. Less AAs or other moving parts going forward, less maintenance expenses. It's a much smaller thing, but felt the same way when they removed the original parrot barker...

They’re prob glad they are in states passing laws against such displays. Heaven forbid everyone isn’t just like them.

Rumor Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

We typically go in summers these days (2019, 2021, 2023) Will we stop in if there isn't a long wait? Sure. Was it necessary to take out an attraction for this? No. IMO of course. Others can certainly feel differently and that's fine.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Creative (including storyline) issues aside (and I agree with the majority of the critiques I've read on here), there has been a lot of talk about the use of more simple figures for the critter characters. Someone may have said this, but I think this is 100% intentional to reduce cost and in the...

Rumor Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

I'm a DVC member and unhappy about this change for many of the reasons others have noted. At the very least it reduces the MK attraction count by 1 and removes a small atmosphere attraction that Disney parks typically do well. If there was an attraction replacement here or elsewhere, fine...

News The Plaza Restaurant Goes Behind Refurbishment Walls at Magic Kingdom

I love the Plaza Restaurant as it is and hope it doesn't change anytime soon. All of the outside tables and chairs are for eating ice cream. And to my understanding, it was carved out of space that was originally the ice cream parlor back in the 1970s, when management actually added locations...

Rumor Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

Thank you for this list. The number of things on there with no replacement (4,5,6,10,11/17, 12/16 at a quick glance), plus the numerous closed eateries and shops others have mentioned is ridiculous and appalling.

News New Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge

Ate at Tomorrowland Terrace in July 2021. Lunchtime…think maybe only mobile order? It was packed with one poor cm trying to clean up an overflowing garbage can.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I agree on the green gown for sure. Considering she put a giant crown on her water tower, you think she'd hold on to that dress. I remember when Splash was first opening at Disneyland that there was a change or two...I think the song choice before the lift hill being the main one. Would be nice...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

What always got me was all the talk of not showing Coca-Cola and Visa/MC wording throughout the land, and the money they reportedly paid to do that, and then you purchase things in various shops and they hand you the generic Disney parks plastic bags...how expensive would it be to have...

New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

Signage on the Boardwalk was mixed from the start - "Spoodles" looked like the 1990s era in which it opened. That said, glad to see progress here. Any word on what might happen to the Big River Grille space?
