What Disney Would Look Like Abandoned

Reminds me of Nara Dreamland... http://www.lovethesepics.com/2012/03/illegal-tour-abandoned-amusement-park-nara-dreamland-65-pics/

What If joe rhode were CEO?

Yes, yes I do...because the avatar was ironic. But one ride an entire land does not make either....

What If joe rhode were CEO?

To be fair...Pandora was forced upon Joe and he had to make the best of a poorly conceived park expansion. Given his own personal choice I am sure the Beastly Kingdom would have happened well before the land of big blue people. I still scratch my head for how a franchise that Disney has no real...

Projection mapping is already getting old

What If joe rhode were CEO?

Joe is a dreamer (think the movie Tomorrowland) but certainly not an economist. I see him maybe in charge of imagineering and park planning but not really CEO material. I think his imagination is probably far beyond ROI for the parks.

Projection mapping is already getting old

I actually really enjoyed the image mapping they used in the Captain Jack attraction they had at HS for that short time. I felt it brought a lot to the show and think that when not used to excess it can be really entertaining. Like any new technology I think they are like a kid with a new toy...

Disney needs to crack down on merchandise scalping.

Not really what I would consider souvenirs but good point. I meant walking through the gift shops. Anything I had an interest in buying was made in China, Indonesia or elsewhere so I put them down.

Do you still feel a loyalty to Disney?

2006, 2008, 2010, 2012...yes 2013...somehow the veil became so thin that we saw the man behind the curtain...and the empty spaces...and the fountains turned off...and a lot of other stuff. Maybe we had been blind to it before or maybe it all hit the fan at once but my steadfast subversive...

Disney needs to crack down on merchandise scalping.

I'd be happier if I could just find a single Disney trinket in the parks that says MADE IN U.S.A. During our last trip in 2013 I tried, I mean really tried and found nothing...

    What will be more popular?

Star Wars. I really think the age group Pixar appeals to stay over at MK more than making the trip to HS. Not saying adults will not enjoy it but I think it appeals more to kids and Star Wars has a wider age group.

If you could give one attraction one major update

If you could give one attraction one major update

I've been staring at this question for several days and pondering the query because it is a really really good question and one that has many applicable solutions. To make one single improvement on one ride only...man that is tough but if it were up to me I would add a series random missions to...

The good, the bad, the ugly?

Often times the first response to a post (2nd post as it appears in the thread) has a sponsored ad put in it by the forum...not the choice of the posting member.

The good, the bad, the ugly?

Good - family time and early mornings in the parks Bad - empty unused areas and pavilions Ugly - ridiculous pre-planning and inability to freestyle anymore

Been off the grid...how's Oct 2018 looking?

Yes, we went every other year for five trips with our DD up until 2013 when we decided to go on a break from Disney because we were seeing a lot of less than enthusiastic changes in hopes that we could return at some point with renewed jubilation...next year would be five years and I'm not...

Been off the grid...how's Oct 2018 looking?

Maybe I'm in luck then. If we do go then we'd be departing by the 10th :)

Been off the grid...how's Oct 2018 looking?

It would be the First weekend in October so I am not sure when exactly these southern states have their break but would appreciate any info you have.
