Does anyone actually know the details on Uni's agreement for the Simpsons in the parks. Just curious.

Correct. Disney cannot make AVATAR movies with Cameron, but Cameron cannot release AVATAR movies on his own.

Disney already owned ALL the Marvel properties. Just not ALL the film distribution/production rights.

From what was said...the Marvel rights were not transferable. So, if Comcast made the purchase, the Marvel rights would still revert back to Marvel Studios.

That acquisition is more wonky and won't read well in a simple press release considering the average fan already thinks Disney owns all of Star Wars. Watch for Lucasfilm to issue something in regards to a re-release on BluRay or theatres eventually of the original cuts.

I'm not so sure about that. The Marvel deal was done when Marvel was having serious financial issues. My main question to the deal is if it in perpetuity like the Florida Marvel deal or is there a renewal date that Disney can use as leverage?

Let's talk about the Simpsons... Anyone know the specifics of the deal between Fox and Universal? Could Disney conceivably shut down those sections of the park at Uni, if and when the deal expires?

Agreed! Why can't the company go back to old days where Walt himself came up with original ideas like Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio...etc! No more buying the rights to other people's characters or stories!

I say my concept for the pavilion would be a clone of the Mystic Manor ride (ala Indy Ride and Dinosaur) but replace Lord Mystic with Dreamfinder and Albert the Monkey with Figment and have the Imagination pavilion come to life when Figment releases the Spark that Dreamfinder brought back from...

She is an amazing actror and I think it is a brilliant choice. Cannot wait to see what she bring to the role. As for a Doctor Who attraction? YES please. A nice deal with the BBC should do the trick. If you recall, DisneyXD toyed with the idea of showing Doctor Who reruns a few years back.
