News Disney releases updated timeline for Parks and Resorts openings through 2026

I have no inside knowledge whatsoever, but I do wonder if you'll see things announced around the time that Epic Universe opens?

Disney Enchantment fireworks returning to Magic Kingdom in 2024

If they had done this with Wishes instead, they could sell out every AH event in an hour. And probably do so at a higher price point.

News Journey Into Imagination With Figment at EPCOT to be closed on October 10, 2023

I’m old enough to have experienced all three versions. The original remains the best, without question, but I will grant you that the current version is not nearly as awful as the hideous second iteration of the attraction.

News 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

Disney has cracked down very much on “off script” narrators. There are some moments built into the show for the narrator to speak directly to the audience (once at the beginning and once near the end), but it’s otherwise very much a scripted show (you can thank Jim Cavaziel plugging his movies...

    Fantasmic Reopening Watch

I’ve been seeing the show semi-regularly since about 1998, and I never saw a show without the dragon until tonight. No dragon at the 9:30 show this evening, just Maleficent on the platform. Great work by the cast, particularly Maleficent, making it look seamless. All I have are not great iPhone...

The trams are out at DHS doing some kind of training runs today. No passengers but they’re definitely practicing.

Potential Major Hurricane Idalia Possibly to Impact Central/Northern Florida 8/29

Got the day off today so ended up doing DHS. Wet, but no different or worse than any other sewing day. Very quiet, as expected, at DHS today. Most everything is walk-on.

News Walt Disney World Holiday Events 2023

I mean, MVMCP is surely coming back, as is Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays (and with it, Candlelight).

News Walt Disney World Holiday Events 2023

They’re currently “tracking” a “lost reindeer” on the Disney Parks twitter page. The reindeer looks to be making their way to the North Pole, based on coordinates Disney keeps releasing. I have no idea what this is portending, but maybe someone here does.

New Special FL Resident Ticket for Summer 2023

Universal has a similar offer for Florida residents this summer: buy one day and get two more free. Park Hopping is included but Volcano Bay is not. Price varies based on the start date, but around $200 seems most common.

News Walt Disney World plans to close its food trucks including locations at Disney Springs

Good. I always hated the way they looked. I'm assuming this also affects the ones at Fort Wilderness, right?

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

Agreed. I love Hocus Pocus, because it’s a big, full production with a coherent story. It feels like a complete show. Most Merriest is just a mishmash of nonsense. I wish they’d bring back Celebrate the Season, which had a fun and catchy song and great costumes. But I digress.

Living With The Land tomato tree?

Someone once told me that the “lab” you float past at the end is actually a scheduling office. I have no idea if that’s true, however.

    Disney/Iger response to Desantis battle?

Just continue to let DeSantis talk and make more statements that can be used against him in court. Iger is smart to let DeSantis continue to bury the state’s already weak case.

Michael Sasso, " from the CFTODB spent the weekend at the Magic Kingdom. This will surely annoy dear old Bridget.

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

Choosing 2001 certainly was a choice. Air travel was WAY down that year, for obvious reasons, so there wasn't nearly the level of demand there otherwise would be.
