A quick glance at the reservation system shows that there really isn't any availability (at least for breakfast- didn't check dinner), so people are willing to reserve this without knowing the price. I'm assuming this initial wave is lifestylers and vloggers.

My parents, who like me have excellent credit, are coming down to visit me in January. They haven't been to DHS in quite some time and want to see all of the "new stuff" (Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, Runaway Railway). This works out perfectly for them because they can see everything they wish...

It's one of the easiest things for them to do, and guests enjoy them (especially "rare" characters). But we probably won't know who is out until the actual event, as the advertising for the event doesn't specify.

Duffy is one of the characters at the DHS event, for those that care. Blog Mickey is there tonight and they posted him. Their tweet also indicated there seem to be a significantly greater numbers of characters at the event this year.

The poacher videos in the queue lasted a lot longer than the poacher storyline in the ride itself.

While it seems like this will be based on the animated film, I would expect Ariel to be cast with actresses of multiple ethnicities, similar to what they did with Frozen in DCA. I know nothing of their plans, but this would be my guess.
