Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Yeah, we had the same issue with the A/C in March, and it was just in the 80s on that day. It still felt pretty stifling in there.

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Yeah, it even looked pretty rough in March. It seems weird to complain about this, but the smell wasn't working either. I had a similar vibe with Spaceship Earth, but Imagination was in worse shape.

    Are we just spoiled?

Sidestepping the current conflict in this thread, I think the big issue for me is the removal of perks like Magical Express, Fastpass Plus (for no charge), resort parking for free, and more along with a sharp increase in prices. If Disney isn't going to provide some of the perks that help the...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

I feel like they'll end up doing something with the building eventually, but it wouldn't shock me to have a brand new announcement of something that is very different at Destination D23 next year or at D23 Expo in 2024. The fact they announced nothing at the latest Expo is not a great sign.

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Cool. I'm trying to stay optimistic they'll do what's needed and just will delay it more than we'd like. That's better than the alternatives of doing nothing or replacing it with a bad fit.

    EPCOT Forever to return?

That's really interesting and makes sense in terms of revenue. That would be a reason to remove it quickly despite all the investment to make it happen. That doesn't surprise me about the surveys; I didn't hate it, but it didn't grab me the same way that Illuminations: ROE did. It's fine but not...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

The one silver lining with this announcement is that it doesn't slam the door on changes to the attraction. I had goose bumps for a minute when I saw the pavilion on the screen, so it did feel like a bit of a cheat. My hope (which is likely too optimistic) is that this is step one of a larger...

    EPCOT Forever to return?

I still can't believe that Disney would bring back EPCOT Forever, at least in its original form. They also seem unlikely to move the Harmonius barges, though I'd love to see that change. There weren't too many big surprises at the D23 Expo, but Harmonius getting removed next year was a big one...

Will their definitely not be a Indiana Jones land at DHS with the stunt show coming back?

I agree with the point above that Indy 5 would likely need to be a big hit for anything to happen. There are definitely many Indy fans, but adding a full land is a huge investment. The Stunt Show was already in place, and the theater holds a lot of people. It's a great way to draw a lot of...

no more protective sleeves (for now) with lightsabers.

I was thinking they could solve a lot of the issues by just discounting the price. Ten percent doesn't feel like enough, but I have to remember it's such a hefty price normally that it is a decent discount.

    Your EPCOT future world ideas

It's also weirdly hot in there. I suspect it's by design to fit with the nautical theme, but I'm always ready to get out of there by the end.

    Your EPCOT future world ideas

There are some awesome ideas in this thread. I feel like there would be great potential in the World Discovery and World Nature sections even if we stick with those titles. I'd love to see a big re-theme of The Living Seas. They could still have Nemo (and the Marine Life Institute) involved...

    least favorite past attraction

This is tricky because I have a soft spot even for attractions that weren't great in the past like the Legend of the Lion King or Body Wars. I'd like to experience them again even if they weren't my favorites. I never rode Journey Into Your Imagination, but I'm sure that would be up there. I'd...

News Coco scene coming to Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Disney World

I wish they did a lot more changes like these. They enhance the experience, don't take as much time to implement, and keep the parks fresher (the Gran Fiesta Tour animatronics are a great example, when they work). I also like that this is an extra scene, not a replacement.

POLL: When are you planning to return to Walt Disney World?

Despite the possible opening coming fairly soon this summer, we won't be going back until next year. I'm not convinced it's safe even with all the measures. I'm in no rush to be part of the group that tests whether it really should be open at this point.

    For Horizons Nerds in Particular

This video was incredible! I'm definitely in the camp of Horizons being amazing (it's my favorite all-time attraction), so this was right up my alley. I can't get enough of seeing it looking so sharp.

Survivor S39: Island of the Idols

It really bugs me to see guys (it's always the guys) talk about others being goats when they're totally out of the loop. Dean is a prime example here. I am enjoying his ridiculous attempts to fool everyone with the fake advantage, but wow is he not a top player. Dean is focusing solely on...

Survivor S39: Island of the Idols

I still think it's interesting that the producers must be telling players not to reveal Rob and Sandra to anyone that hasn't been to the Island of the Idols thus far. Vince basically said as much when Rob asked him about it during the RHAP exit interview. I wonder if they will ultimately reveal...

Survivor S39: Island of the Idols

That's a really good point. It reminds me a bit more of how Survivor: South Africa has been with the editing. They focus on the characters, which then builds up the impact of any vote, regardless of how it goes. Especially in the past few weeks, I had no idea who was doomed at Tribal Council.

Survivor S39: Island of the Idols

This week was awesome! I've really enjoyed how Kellee has played this season and the way she approaches the game. Even while making her great points about the women's alliance ideas, she didn't insult Jamal. In fact, they seemed to be on the same page. That's an awesome social game. There are...
