News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Cornivores (popcorn stand in the middle of Rama) was closed today. Marni might have been literal; might have stopped operating yesterday. The lightup caroling dinosaurs they put on top of Donalds' meet area is possibly my favorite piece of Christmas decor on property. It just makes me really...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Why do these people just constantly assume no one actually likes the stuff in their theme parks?

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

They're still training people in T-Spin, Restaurant O'saurus, and Chester and Hester's, for what it's worth. My wishlist is: - Rama lasts until the days get shorter so I can have some night time in there. Or they would just keep their darned theme park opened past six o'clock but that's not...

Didn't we know that already? Why is it worthy of popcorn? Did it close TODAY? I thought they said closing started in Fall?

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I got a survey a week ago for visiting Animal Kingdom; it asked my reasons for visiting and what lands I spent my time in. I've gotten Animal Kingdom surveys before but they're usually asking about what I ate, so this was new to me. No one knows what the popcorn is about, he's being vague...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Don't do this to me, I'm already trying really hard to not read into the survey I got asking what lands I visited. I'm too emotional for this. I'm going to presume they cut something from AnimalsInTheBackgroundLand that's going to tick people off.

Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

See, for a Spaceship Earth redo, I don't WANT elaborate, I want them to barely touch it and then leave. If more elaborate means just making the animatronics work better, that's great and the only thing I want them to do other than removing the "Your Future" thing and adding something on the...

Do you think Disney will ever make a really impressive playground again?

I didn't think this would be such a depressing thread. Oh well, points taken. I don't have kids, I just think it was a really good example of going above and beyond where it wasn't really necessary; even being an adult the theming is amazing with these places. The Boneyard makes me wish I...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

There's a good chance at least one cast member showed up for their shift at Tiana's yesterday, and left when that shift was over without the ride ever operating while they were there.

Do you think Disney will ever make a really impressive playground again?

Disney used to make really awesome playgrounds, with really elaborate theming. The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground: The Boneyard: (Not pictured: Its sandpit.) Arguably the entirety of Tom Sawyer Island: One of these is long gone and two of them are getting removed. Meanwhile, the...

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

But they're already in the parks and the store is right there. Why move them somewhere else (somewhere where they will have a show not made by their original creator, ticking off the fan base right off the bat) and try selling merchandise when they could do it right there in Hollywood Studios...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Simple: if they make some really fancy animatronics they can get praise based solely on the fact that they are, objectively, more advanced than Splash (by virtue of being made thirty years later). If they stick to simpler animatronics but more of them, then they don't have anything over Splash...

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

If they're that interested in Muppet merchandise, they should probably reopen the giant store right next to MuppetVision that's been shuttered for four years. They clearly aren't THAT invested.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I'm going with a wild card: killing Electric Water Pageant. It's definitely not making them any money and I could definitely see them seeing it as outdated because it's not high tech.

I never understood why Disney public transportation sucks s

Animal Kingdom is meant to feel isolated; it will never get a monorail. Some kind of special connection with Animal Kingdom Lodge that's below tree level would be nice, but is unlikely with the layout the park has.
