News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

So... we're expecting a "closing on this day in the future" announcement, right? Not a "yesterday was it" announcement? They haven't just shut down half a land before without saying an end date, right? I'm a little surprised it hasn't happened yet and I'm glad it hasn't but also worried I'm...

    Tiana’s Bayou Adventure SPOILER Thread

Looks like Tiana's is running relatively smoothly now. And so, we exit the era of "Funny Disaster" and begin the main lifespan of "Aggressively Mediocre at Best".

Countdown to Extinction: Dinoland USA Appreciation

It's funny, of all the things in Dinoland, the condiment one is definitely the thing I see referenced as a trivia point the most often. It's a fun one, in the flagship ride, and doesn't require any context to make it amusing, so I guess that explains its popularity. To add something else...

Countdown to Extinction: Dinoland USA Appreciation

There are more, at least three (plus three more that are on the DVC booth and not part of the joke), I've taken the pictures so far apart they get lost. I'll need to put them in some kind of album link since the forum only allows ten pictures per post. I'm also hoping there's a photo of Coke...

Countdown to Extinction: Dinoland USA Appreciation

As the meteor draws nearer, I thought we could have a thread for the land. I go in every day I can and each time I just really want to talk to someone about it, so here it is. For Dinoland details you like, memories or stories you have, favorites parts, things you wish they did, whatever you...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I'm torn between wanting it open longer and wanting to get it over with so I can move onto the numbness. But I guess we're getting this dragged out for months anyway. Restaurant O'saurus lists itself as eligible for the 2025 dining plan on the app.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

That was close; I was starting to think they fixed it.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I was wrong! Corn-ivores is still open! Also, let the record show that today is a very unusual day at Animal Kingdom.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I didn't know that one! One of my favorites is a water fountain in the Boneyard that's made to look like it's hooked up to a portable water cooler.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I'm not sure about this one being intentional, but it's a cute idea even if it's accidental. I'll have to look at it in-person tomorrow. Dinoland is a ridiculously dense cluster of details that go unnoticed. I've been in there a ton and I'm still seeing new things. At this point I'm convinced...

News New Main Street, U.S.A Costumes for Cast Members at Magic Kingdom

Even completely out of context as a new outfit for a new location with nothing to compare to, I would still say this looks ugly. I know...I never got to see the fun Chester and Hester outfits and I'm still not sure what the teal thing everyone wears now is meant to be...

News New Main Street, U.S.A Costumes for Cast Members at Magic Kingdom

Should we be worried? Is this going to be spreading? Are they going to be making their way through each land with this stuff? Cast comfort should be obtainable without things becoming uglier and more generic.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It will always be Future World to me because the alternatives they came up with are nonsensical.

Do you think Disney will ever make a really impressive playground again?

There's no equivalent to it on the model for the replacement land, so sadly, yes, it seems like they're removing it and not replacing it. Which sucks; it was really cool and losing the bridge and skeleton definitely makes the entrance less interesting. (Can't find the picture of the model...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Marsh canonically has a history of saving struggling businesses. Maybe Tiana should hire her. For one thing, Marsh's company tends to open on time.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It's sad losing areas I love in other parks due to supposedly not being themed enough or being wasted space while Disney spends many millions and something like five years emphasizing just how much it doesn't give a care about beauty, consistent theming, or efficiently using space elsewhere.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

You've clearly never had the pleasure of entering Ariel's Grotto. Plenty of tiny Bibbity Bobbity princesses waiting in the increasingly cramped space with no air conditioning.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

If there's no opera box, there's nowhere for them to sit, so they would need to build a box. And the box presumably needs to be accessible in case they need maintenance, so they need to build stairs. Same for Bean Bunny on the other side. Same for Swedish Chef behind everyone. Same for the...
