News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Permanently Closed Fall 2023

I think timeline was a bigger issue than price. Original Trilogy fans have a lot of disposable income.

Funny thing is the resort restaurants are hurting more than park restaurants. Signature restaurants are down the most.

Well aware of policies. Friends and family work at Disney restaurants. I get first hand knowledge. Also there is a private FB group for Disney FOH CMs. There are threads on how slow it was spring break. And you are correct about the intention, but it has backfired. Some restaurants are starting...

Friends and family work at Disney restaurants. I get first hand knowledge. Also there is a private FB group for Disney FOH CMs. There are threads on how slow it was spring break. I don't know where you were trying to get reservations, but even Woody's had some openings during Easter week.

Even then a majority of the restaurants were way down in numbers. Some of the usually impossible locations had availably for parties 2-6 during easter week. That may be due to no DDP. People aren't eating table service as often without DDP.

I know bookings are down. Also, Disney sit down restaurants had one of the slowest spring breaks ever. Plus non-park divisions are definitely hurting.

The right. Moderates are decreasing in numbers. Both sides are moving farther apart. Not good for the country as a whole.

I think Disney opened a bigger Pandora's Box by being sneaky to keep control of RCID. They acted like they were going accept it and than tried to keep it last minute with clever wording. I may be wrong but I don't think much would have changed if they had lost control of RCID. Now Disney has...

Yes, I only have first hand knowledge of Disney world. Just an observation, but traffic in central Florida has been surprisingly manageable the past few weeks, or I have just been lucky.

News Bob Iger outlines the need to transform the Walt Disney Company resulting in 7000 job losses and $5.5 billion in cost savings

Actually the parks are slower than expected for spring break. Park reservations are extremally available. Almost all table service restaurants are the slowest they have been in over a year. Restaurants were busier in January than they are now. I don't know if this due to lower guest numbers...

News Disney World Cast Member unions to begin week of negotiations for wage increases, healthcare costs and more

It is actually worse than that. For example a CM with 20 years gets the same exact pay as a new hire if they are in the same unionized role.

News Disney World Cast Member unions to begin week of negotiations for wage increases, healthcare costs and more

I have worked for Disney since 2016. During this time there has never been an agency fee or any other non tax deduction from mine or other family members paychecks. We are all in union roles but not union members.

News Disney World Cast Member unions to begin week of negotiations for wage increases, healthcare costs and more

I already explained that in my first post that I don't know how many people in union jobs are actually members paying dues. The union is very secretive and hard to get reliable information from.

News Disney World Cast Member unions to begin week of negotiations for wage increases, healthcare costs and more

even if you don't join the union it is still a union job/role. since the pandemic a lot of CMs have left the union for various reasons, but mostly due to feeling that the union has let them down. The unions represent about 40,000 CMs out of about 70,000. I do not know what % of the 40,000...
