I am currently a very famous pro hockey player with a house on every apartment, and a private jet to fly between them, and my opinion is athletes are overpaid.

Wookies, & Rebels, & Droids... OH WHY?! The Anti-SWL in Disneyland Thread

I’m catching up so maybe someone already applied, but it actually is pretty forested. It’s like Frontierland. The village has *some* trees, and then it’s surrounded by forested areas (along the railroad and around the Resistance ride).

    Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

I’m glad we’re finally getting something permanent and pretty looking. The current set up is just plain ugly. Especially the giant switchbacks before security. Redoing the Eastern gateway made a huge impact—there’s hardly ever a line now. I’m sure there will be lots of new security gates. I...

    Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

My hypothesis is that the new route will flow in the same direction. You’ll unload outside on the East end, by the 3 disney posters along the hedge. The tram will then make a big U turn, about twice the radius of the current U. The load area will be under the East end of Pixar Pals, running...

    Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

If you consider the rate that cars are parked, it actually seems like it has the right capacity for incoming and exiting guests. I would guess cars park at a rate of 24 cars/minute between both structures, and the average AP Disney visitor has relatively few guests per car. The old path we all...

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

Probably not, considering Maters is a bigger, better, and newer version of the Ladybug Boogie. It has quadrupole the capacity, and more of the ride is spent “whipping” (the most boring parts are the two loops on either end of the circuit).

    Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

I wonder if they’re going to be implementing a more permanent solution to the DTD security check point. The current arrangement is all very temporary and doesn’t have the capacity for all the new pedestrians Disney expects. The new walkway isn’t opening until September, so they have enough time...

Mysterious Island is the steampunk land in TDS. Port Discovery is only similar to Discovery Bay in name. But Discoveryland is probably the best spiritual successor to Discovery Bay, nonetheless

Well, you’re never going to have the entire staff on the floor at once. the bar staff is behind the bar so they have their own space. The number I gave for servers was too high. There’s only 8 max on the floor at a time, plus a few extra in charge of lunch relief. And then the hosts are mostly...

Enough to prepare and serve over 400 drinks an hour. A handful of barbacks and bartenders. Plus a dozen servers, who double as bussers at the Cantina. Then another half a dozen hosts to oversee the line and seat.

Yep. They have less than 20 servers trained to work there. It’s pretty absurd.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disneyland opening reports/reviews

It’s hard work The location is constantly packed regardless of the rest of the crowd. Servers there are working 12 hour days. 12 hours of talking nonstop and carrying drink trays through a very cramped and very loud bar.
