Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Every Star Wars film introduces a slew of new planets. There’s nothing more “Star Wars” than introducing a new planet. I’ve never heard a case for using an existing planet that would be logical, sensical, or more functional than Batuu - a planet tailor made to cater to both the Star Wars...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Maybe a cousin of the Bantha, but not a Bantha.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

The loss of the C-Ticket family friendly ride is a real bummer. I really feel like the land is lacking something for the younglings under 40" tall. And that map of the track seems like it'd make total sense with the DHS version as well. They could easily add all the interactive elements back...

Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Sounds like you're describing the table service restaurant. The concept art basically had all of that. Still don't comprehend why they delayed the TSR. They need to fast track it ASAP.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Back on topic with some GE @ DHS info. Confirmation that reservations get you in the land one hour before your reservation time, just like DL.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Agreed on Savi's. I think the problem with Oga's is that the Cantina was meant to be part of a larger dining experience - the cancelled/delayed TSR restaurant.

Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Per another poster’s could call with WDW support - yes. Reservations get you into the land. It was also DL’s policy.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Thanks for the info! Do you know if you are granted access to the land 1 hour prior to your reservation like at DL?

Anything after 10:10am should be lunch menu. You'll be good.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Breakfast at Oga's has to be distinguished because there are additional breakfast drink options.

Got my Oga's and Savi's reservations for opening day!

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Code being present in the WDW MDE app is basically confirmation of the virtual queue for me. Glad they're implementing that. Now I just hope they implement the same Oga's and Savi's reservations as DL too.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I messaged WDWToday on Twitter about a few of these. Answers here. 1. Not sure, but when I asked about the parking lot the response was "Security will be monitoring this space around the clock." 2. Apparently not, which is a grave mistake, IMO. We'll probably have to line up to get reservations...

So what changes will we see at DHS GE based on DL GE?

Walked into Jamba for a smoothie today. Now they've got something called the "Vanilla Blue Sky" - and since it looked like Blue Milk I figured I'd give it a go. Similar to GE Milk, it's also plant based (almond and coconut milks), but with banana, pineapple and blue spirulina (which provides the...

So what changes will we see at DHS GE based on DL GE?

Here's a recap of the new booze at DHS, per Disney World's website menus. Docking Bay 7 Takodana Quencher - $15 Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum, Blue Curaçao, Simple Orange with Pineapple, Kiwi Gold Squadron Lager - Blue Point Brewing Co. - $13.25 16 oz draft - Golden Lager with Lavender and Plum...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

The small difference in colors are really helping DHS compared to DL. Looks really good. And, only judging by video of course, the layout in the Resistance forest seems to work better.

So what changes will we see at DHS GE based on DL GE?

I don't think those are the droids rsm is referring to. Typical astromech style droids need an attendant/pilot. Disneyland tested autonomous droids for a while around Star Wars Launch Bay, with the assumed/rumored intention of using them in GE.

So what changes will we see at DHS GE based on DL GE?

Other than the "Jake" / "J4-KE" test droid at Disneyland...no, not that I've seen. The plug could've been pulled on them before they went into full production. The easiest thing DHS could add to GE for opening would be some costumed characters. They should already have plenty of costumes in...
