I got to go through Space Mountain with the lights on when I was 6. That was after sitting in the launch tunnel with the flashing blue lights for 45 minutes... I was with my dad and this was waaaaaaaay before cell phones so my mom was absolutely confused and concerned when we never seemed to...
We've been to Disney enough that I now hope for the odd to happen. We've never repeated scenes or had issues on CoP, but would enjoy it. We now hope for ride evacs (we're odd).
Color me not surprised. I think we've all watched the staged construction getting WDW ready for 2021 and have the DL 2005 work as reference. They expanded Fantasyland, they've moved to DAK and DHS hopefully getting all of that online 2017-2019, and then that leaves Epcot to get up and prepared...

I guess my point is, accidents happen. I don't blame Disney, I don't blame the family (trying to wrangle 1 child let alone 2+ is a challenge...
5 years seems fair. With Avatar, Star Wars, and Toy Story Land coming on line 2017-2018 and the 2016 AK work, Epcot in 2019-2020 in time for 2021 makes sense. It feels like forever, but the staging makes sense.
It's a temporary lounge in a space that would otherwise sit empty. We'd all trade this space for a true Imageworks. However, if it's this or vacant space, I'll take this. It doesn't take anything away from the daily guest and give s a bit of a perk to DVC members.
